To be honest, he shouldn't have played on Wednesday for England..............
He looked half-fit and didn't do anything for the last 20 minutes..........
And he sounded drunk in his post game interview

Who's Beckham? Is that the same as Pele? Soccer players have only one name?
Seriously, why is this guy such big news? From what I've been told he's not even any good!
It's like Mike Ricci going to the European leagues to play hockey. Chicks dig him but he sucks....

To even mention Beckham at the same time as Pele is :nono:
Pele was a true great, Beckham has an overinflated sense of his ability along with an ego the size of Texas.........
The only reason that he signed for the Galaxy is that he believed that his international career was over

Den, while I agree with you on the Pele statement, the rest is not tickety boo.
Beckham is a hard worker, and you can see that on the pitch.
Real Madrid had catagorically told him his first string career was over, and he'd been cut from the England side.
Since the first day he stepped out at Old Trafford, the media has hyped him up, and marrying the most media savvie of all the Spice Girls has maintained that hype.
I've never seen an article or an interview where Beckham was overly arrogant or believing of the hype about him.
As for his playing, I hear jet lag is a real b'artch. The Galaxy coach even said he shouldn't have let him play, given his travelling, and coming off the ankle injury. I really don't think some rest time is too much to ask.

Beckhams past it and has been for some time. Played ok against estonia but there hardly world beaters he'll struggle against Russia and Croatia they wont give him the time and space to put his crosses in. Carnt see us qualifying for Euro 2008.
