Top 5 moves on must do list in offseason.

As you all know this team needs a lot but lets be realistic, we cant get everything right away. Heres my top 5 list for the offseason.

1. Sign Micheal Turner he fits like a glove in our system. (Do it, Do it)

2. Upgrade the Safety positions and depth. (get younger via draft, and free agency the salary cap keeps going up lets use it). Lynch is done cut the FORMER all pro.

3. Upgrade the Defensive Line. It might take awhile for some of our younger guys to develop which is fine. Dumerville is a DPR or a Vrable type of Hybrid who can only play two positions. Linebacker or DE. (face it hes undersized)

4. Upgrade the Line Backers. Sorry guys DJ Williams sucks i like the kid personally and i wish him well just not here.

5. Wide Receivers whos healthy? Javon Walker might never be able to play a full season. I love what Brandon Marshall has done and hopefully will do in the future but he is a true #2. We need to hit on this position as putting Michael Turner and another wr threat for Jay. (look at what the colts did for manning).

Face it, Dumervil is one of the only people on our team who can get pressure on the QB. so yeah, leave him there. :rolleyes:

I definitely agree in getting rid of lynch he is just a rock out there now and he the reason he tackles any receivers is because he let them catch the ball

I thought you said the top 5 things to do. How many does this count as???? Drafting and FA... or is it just one move to get rid of Lynch?? I'm pretty surprised anyone would say this after its very OBVIOUS how much Lynch is needed on this team after the Green Bay game? Did you not watch the defense crumble after he was out of the game??? This confuses Me.

Personally.. we all know lynch is getting up there in years. However, you upgrade the safety position and STILL keep Lynch. Its the other safety that is the problem.

Dumerville can only play TWO positions??? How many positions do you expect him to play??? Isn't he playing DE now? Where else do you think we would want to play him... safety??

Upgrade all of them? How do you do that? How do you UPGRADE all three LBs in one offseason? DJ sucks at what? MLB??? or just in general?

What is a 'true number 2'?? Honestly... I think this kid has the talent to be a #1 WR in this league. I don't know why anyone would suggest he doesn't have the talent for that... or why anyone would think he's only a #2. But just how many #1 WRs are out there to get in FA?? How do we upgrade that position? With a healthy Javon, our WR corp is looking pretty damned good. But.. like you said... we never know if Javon will ever be able to play a full season. So how do we upgrad?? Draft?

1. It really depends on what happens to Henery in court AND if we cut him. i think we got our micheal turner in Young. and if we have to keep Henery and young it would be a great duo. thunder and lighting type stuff


2. I think we should keep Lynch we need his veteran leadership. I dont know if he is a starter type but we can definetly use him. As a back up Also i think we found one of our future starters in Hamzah Abdullah

Elvis runs a 4.74 at the combine. that is NOT good speed playing sideline to sideline. to fit in he would have had to atleast run a low 4.6 His posistion at this time is DE and i like it. He is also strong enough to play DT in nickel. 30 reps at the combine. which if i remember right topped Marcus Thomas numbers.


4. I was really upset with DJ Williams earlier this year. since then i have learned that i am a spoiled fan and wanted Al wilson pronto. DJ WIlliams is starting to come into his own in the middle. and proving to be our BEST linebacker. and if you were GM and you had to Upgrade linebacker start on the OLB then work your way to dj

one of them should be to get a different DC. Who they should have hired before the season was Ron Rivera.

If you woulda said that bout DJ through the first game or two I woulda agreed but since then both him and Elvis have proven to be our two best front seven players. It's the OLB's and the DT's that have continued to fail us, but Crowder is starting to show like he is developing nicely, now we just gotta hope that Moss comes back next year and develops and we have 3 solid to good DE's.

On the OLB spots:

Gold and Webster both are terrible in coverage this year, FO has shown them to be well below average there. If we are to replace anyone in the back 7 on D those are the first two that need to be looked at... cost v.s production on them.
