I know Rashard Mendenhall is a junior and may not come out in the draft this year but I was just wondering what sort of grade he would get. 5"11 230 lbs the kid is a beast with great leg drive and pass catching ability to boot. He is the real reason for Illinois offense preforming so well this year he is in the top 10 ncaa rushers this year. Let me know what you think

To me it all depends on Travis Henry. IF he gets suspended we have to go one of two avenues. We have to get a back that has Henry's skill set. as a guy that can take a hit and keep pushing forward for the extra yard or two. Or we can get a dominant FB to which i really feel this team has DESPERATLY missed since howard griffith. If we go with young as our #1 we have to get a Great lead blocker in front of him.

He should stay in 1 more year. There really is a huge crop of RB that may be drafted in rd's 2-4. If he stays for his senior year in a rush oriented offense he may vault to 1st round 2009.

For the most part i am not thrilled with the running backs that are coming out that denver should look at. i think we have selvin young who is a great quick guy we need more of a bulldozer type i like JS from Oregon and DMC.. after that i dont think we should take a RB and no i am not a big fan of mike hart or james davis.

You nailed it head on earlier. Selvin may need a FB to be great. As of now it's a wait and see attitude with Selvin Young. Shanny needs to get him 20-25 touches a game for rest of season to see if he can handle it. If Henry is not suspended then all is moot.

If Henry is suspended and Selvin Young shows he can carry the load then 2 FB come in mind that would be available on day 2: Owen Schmidt FB West Virginia and Jacob Hester FB LSU.

If Henry is suspended and Young can't carry the load then Denver may try to sign Michael Turner or Draft a RB in 2nd round or day 2. Keep an eye on Kevin Smith RB Central Florida 6'1 211 lbs 4.47. Good size carries the ball 25+ times per game

we will not need a RB in this years draft, if anything like the above post mentioned we need a powerful blocking full back. we need this even if henry starts because it would make him even better, most of us realize this. the only backs i would consider are mcfadden or stewart, but we dont need them because henry and selvin will be our 1 2 punch.
