not yet, but with a few moves in the offseason it could happen.
Improve Depth at the WR postition:
-B Marsh has showed great promise and could eventually be a great #1 Wr, but we need more threats at the position so he doesn't face double coverage.
Draft:
I would like to see Denver get a slot WR in the 3-4 rounds of the draft.
Free Agency:
The addition of a proven #2 receiver would be great I would like to see Bernard Berrian signed.
Improve OL
The OL does not have the depth or ability needed to be a dominant offensive team yet. A few key additions are needed.
Draft:
I would not mind seeing our 1st round pick used to improve the OL
-Barry Richardson would be a nice pick in the 1st round if he showed well at the combine and proved to be athletic enough.
Free Agency:
One big signing would make an enormous difference.
-Alan Faneca would be a huge signing if it was possible
FB
we could use an upgrade at this position
It would be nice to do this through FA unless there is a great FB available late in the draft.
TE and RB(except for injuries) are pretty much set
IMPROVE DEFENSE!
Add Depth at the DT position:
-Marcus Thomas has showed promise and is about the only DT who fits the Defensive system. The other DT's need to be traded or released, we need to start fresh.
FA Signings:
-Albert Haynesworth(not likely)
-Corey Williams
Draft:
If a DT is available in the 1st we should take him, if not wait till the 2nd or 3rd round and add another DT in the later rounds
-Sedrick Ellis
-Glenn Dorsey

Walker, Marshall, Stokley. I think we're good at WR

For now Javon is #1, pending injury outcome, Lil' T.O. is #2, and Stokley #3. I agree we should consider a slot wr/kr on 2nd day of draft. Also Patrick Crayton or Bryant Johnson as FA signing is possibility. Dorien Bryant WR/KR Purdue is name to look at for draft.
I also agree Shanny will address OL in FA. We need depth more than anything.
Don't think Shanny will bother with O-Line since more pressing needs on other side of the ball right now.
FB i think would be nice addition in draft. Owen Schmidt FB WVU or Jacob Hester FB LSU would be good pick up on the 2nd day of draft. Especially if SY takes over as featured back.
I will leave defense alone. we need everything but CB LOL.

I would sign him again.
Me too. I don't think they will let him go. Nobody wanted him after he was injured, but after this season there may be more interest in him. As long as no team makes a huge offer for him I think he stays a Bronco.

I would sign him again.
We must sign him.
My ideas...
Release:
1.) Sam Adams DT
2.) Jeff Shoate CB
3.) Nick Ferguson SS
Resign (I don't know if some are free agents but sign them if we need to):
1.) Brandon Stokley
2.) Domonique Foxworth
3.) Glenn Martinez
4.) Jamie Winborn
Extend these players:
1.) Brandon Marshall WR
2.) Elvis Dumervil DE
3.) Hamza Abdullah SS (if needed)
Target the following Free Agents:
1.) Albert Haynesworth DT Tennessee
2.) Corey Williams DT Green Bay
3.) Alan Faneca OG Pittsburgh
4.) Lance Briggs OLB Chicago
5.) Paul Spicer DE Jacksonville
6.) Karlos Dansby OLB Arizona
7.) Boss Bailey OLB Detroit
8.) Landon Johnson OLB Cinncinati
9.) B.J. Sams DB/KR Baltimore
10.) Gibril Wison FS New York Giants
11.) Greg Jones FB Jacksonville
12.) Dan Krieder FB Pittsburgh
13.) Leonard Weaver FB Seattle
14.) Curome Cox SS Houston (If he's released, solid depth).
Obviously don't sign them all. Preferably, one fullback, one Outside linebacker, and one Defensive Tackle. B.J. would be another stud in the return game next to Martinez. Wilson would help stabilize the other safety position if Lynch leaves, or gives us a solid rotation to keep Lynch fresher. Faneca could be like a new day Zimmerman signing. A fullback would help our running game and I could see Greg Jones as a young Howard Griffith.
Draft:
Round 1) Frank Okam DT Texas
Round 2) Bruce Davis OLB UCLA
Round 4) Marcus Smith WR New Mexico
Round 4) Kirk Elder OG Texas A&M
If Henry Gets suspended:
Round 1) Johnathan Stewart RB Oregon
Round 2) Red Bryant DT Texas A&M
Round 4) Marcus Smith WR New Mexico
Round 4) Kirk Elder OG Texas A&M
Yeh... thats about right.

Unless Javon's knee becomes a long-term problem, I don't see why you'd address WR through FA...besides re-signing Stokely.
I seriously doubt Bryant Johnson or Bernard Berrian would come here as no. 3 wideouts. Berrian's already a starter, and Johnson's next step is starting for someone outside of Arizona. Even if he wanted to come here as the no. 3 I'd take Stokely anyways (better and probably cheaper given his age).
I think the only FA acquisitions we should be making are at LB, or is at LB anyways (meaning only one guy). Demorrio Williams strikes me as a plug-and-play OLB who will probably come cheaper than any of the other OLB's on the market. He's better and more durable than Boss Bailey, and he won't cost as much as Dansby. Obviously, I think he's an improvement over Webster and Gold.
Maybe go after OT Sean Locklear if a perfect "free agency" storm occurs. I think he's the only FA tackle worth a damn, and maybe the only worth FA lineman worthy of a big contract. Young, talented, experienced, versatile. Of course, he's not getting away from Seattle.
Justin Smiley might get a look cuz we've been rumored to like him in the past.
Something that would be incredibly amazing to me, but is admittedly somewhat unrealistic, is stealing Barber away from Dallas to pair him with Selvin. It'd be like Dallas' running game, but with a better counterpart than J. Jones and a better OL.
I think we gotta go DT-LB early. Sedrick Ellis is my favoirte DT prospect because he makes such a big impact, but you have to factor in Okam because of the size factor. OLB all the way if we're looking at LB's. A playmaker is needed.

Do you truly believe Stokley (FA at end of year) will sign a long term or Denver even offer Stokley a long term contract? If Denver signs him it's most likely a 1 year contract again.
Or what about Taylor Jacobs and Glenn Martinez do you honestly believe they are the answer at WR? What if Javon has to have more surgery in the offseason? That is why I said CONSIDER a WR/KR on 2nd day. Slot WR to groom under Stokley or take his place if he leaves.
Or I guess you prefer Denver's WR corp to made up of 40% practice squad/grocery baggers......

I am gonna dissaggre. If travis henery gets suspended RB will be a need. Selvin Young is a great young back who i think shows alot of promise. But a couple of things in his game. He does not fall forward when contact is made. He can run around guys but as from what i have seen. he will not break alot of tackles. add to that i dont think he can be a 25-30 carry back. and Its still a bit early but it looks like he is gonna get dings. and something that he must learn how to do is secure the ball better. i think he is a great off the bench guy or possible starter with limited carries. We still need a guy that can punch it in short yardage situations.
EDIT: if denver does by some insane chance of going with Selvin young as its primary back. It is IMPERITIVE that denver draft a Fullback and as a poster mentioned. Owen Schmidt FB WVU would be a great lead blocker. Oh how i miss Howard Griffith
The Oline is starting to jell with all the new starters, and i think they are actually doing a pretty good job. Lepsis has been uncharistially a liablity this year. and if this is gonna be his brick wall year i think we should give Eric Harris a chance to prove himself.
Safety spot. as i think Hamzah Abdullah is gonna beast it up. With his play this season and especially Pre season i think he can lock down one spot. As far as safety goes i think it is a lower priority need.
We dont need depth at LB we need to replace Nate Webster. and i wouldnt mind bringing in a guy that will be able to beat out Ian Gold but i think his contract is to high to just out-right cut him.
You can never have to much depth at Wideout. i dont think its a top need but its never a bad thing to bring in some guys to compete.
As far as Haynesworth is concered he is a pipe dream. Although i wouldnt mind one of his teamates Randy Starks. Who would be a nice fit and not over the hill.

As far as Martinez goes. he is a young guy. He has shown his ups and downs as any young guy will. The coaching staff sees alot in him otherwise he wouldnt be doing what he is doing. Let him mature a bit. But i think his ceiling is high. just needs to be coached up a little more.

Alot of people don't seem to realize on this board that if Henry IS suspended. He WILL be released. Which makes RB a need no matter how much you love Selvin.
Stokley is the only FA WR worth signing. Marshall is a force in the making.
Just look into getting a lineman in FA. We don't have alot of needs outside both lines and LB.
I just can't see us going after Briggs. Sorry guys :/

you can NEVER have too many good WRs.. and if we could grab one for depth.. that would be huge. Javon has basically sat of the full season 2 of the last 3 years.... So who will be the #1 next year? Believe Me when I say, that it might be smarter to just give Marshall the #1 spot because I think he can handle that. (plus in our system, the 'label' of #1 and #2 dont' make much difference).... but I just can't seriously count on Javon staying healthy. OUr offense would be even a bigger threat if we had another WR in the rotation.
OL is a must... Safety a must, DT a must. LB as must...WR a must. RB? Maybe
FB....

we need to improve the defensive line(duh), we definately need to bring in safties, lynch and ferg are good but they are getting slower with age. we need to get some more depth on the o-line, i hope nalen and ben get back soon they have been a very crucial to the run game. we also need more backers and thats it. i dont think we need a full back because we have back up rbs and tes who can step up. :salute:

WR..........not a must
1. Brandon Marshall
2. Javon Walker, will be great here and will stay healthy
3. Stokley, excellent slot reciever
4. Martinez: very good hands and has made some crucial plays throughout the year to keep drives going, plus valuable punt returner
5. Rod Smith will be back and there is your depth folks
this 5 competes with the best in the nfl..... we have depth, and 1 more in udrafted FA is cheap and will help, with low cost to us
Full back is a must if selvin and hall are to be are backs!
i believ henry stays and We will be set at RB

WR depth/insurance is definitely a need, especially resigning Stokley.
1) Brandon Marshall: Future stud/idiot.
2) Javon Walker: Huge medical question mark/possible stud.
3) Brandon Stokley: Stud slot receiver.
4) Glenn Martinez: Who cares? Strictly a bottom of the depth chart scrub!
5) Rod Smith: Future coach.
That's two Definites, 1 Maybe, a Who Cares? and a Retired Great.
If the Broncos didn't have greater needs, this would still be a major priority in 2008......

If the Broncos get a shot at this guy in the later rounds
I would not mind if they drafted him.
http://www.walterfootball.com/draft2008OLB.php
Marcus Henry, Kansas
Height: 6-4. Weight: 210.
40 Time: 4.56.
Projected Round: 4.
Marcus Henry's 40 time will keep him out of the first three rounds, but he really has emerged as one of the top receivers in college football. Henry, who has 46 receptions, 885 yards and seven touchdowns through 10 games, had eight catches, 199 yards and two scores at Oklahoma State.
Stats 4th in overall Big 12 YDS.
Marcus Henry Kansas 11 50 977 8 4.55 19.54 88.82
