Seriously, you guys have to get some sense knocked into your damn head.
You think the Broncos will throw away the whole draft for McFadden?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
The Broncos already have HENRY, YOUNG, and HALL.
And Shanny has proven so many times that he can take in almost any RB and make him a star.
Last it was Calvin Johnson in addition to Marshall and Walker. There was some reason in that, there being two good receivers (little did we know about Stokely or Martinez though...). There was little reason, but enough to be valid. I still think it's frickin dumb to throw the whole draft for an extra receiver.
Now the Broncos have THREE perfectly fine running backs, all 3 could become stars. And we also have Shanahan, who is the master of pulling great RBs out of thin air!
Do you guys REALLY believe the Broncos will throw the whole draft for a player the Broncos don't need?
And if the Broncos were to throw the whole draft for McFadden,
you guys would be frickin complaining the whole damn season about how the Broncos are doing horrible and blame Shanny for poor drafting!
HELLO! Threw the whole draft for McFadden! Leaves very few junk picks to work on positions that need work.
Plus, even if the Broncos were to throw the whole draft for McFadden, he'll likely be splitting time with whoever else on the roster the Broncos have.
Do you guys think before wanting the Broncos to draft the best unneeded guy possible?
Calling for McFadden and making him a MUST (like CJ was last season) is just ridiculous. You guys seem to just want your personal wants satisfied, not the personal wants of the whole nation.
Think about the long term instead of the few weeks of "OMFG!!11!!!shift+1!!! The Broncos drafted McFadden! SUPER STAR!"
It'll most likely be followed by another dismal season, or more.
Think about it.

Shanahan has proven that he's capable of throwing away a whole draft using all his picks. Why not get at least one star? McFadden isn't going to happen, but he will be a superstar and worth whatever a team gives up to get him.

Yet that will make the rest of the team even worse.
And more seasons of dismal.

young and hall are not the rbs of the future, and travis henry is injury pron and dumb pron. Alot of people said not to draft a qb a couple of years ago because we already had plummer, a decent QB, and we had other needs, and luckly shanny didnt listen to me:D, if you have a chance to get a great player, regardless of position, see adrian peterson, you do it. how many teams wish they would of traded up or picked peterson now.

I am pretty sure every NFL Forum is going through the same 'What do we have to do to get Darren McFadden?'hype. It's just a faze that will blow over. Nothing to get all riled up about.

NTO is correct, DMAC isn't going to cure what's wrong with this team. If anything we need *more* picks, particularly in the 2nd and 3rd rounds where there will be some solid value.
We could spend one pick on a skill position guy, maybe two (the second being more of a return guy). But in terms of priority, defense should come first, followed by OT.
All that being said, I bet you Miami's #1 pick is up for grabs right now. Some team foolish / desperate enough to move up will have the opportunity. I just hope it's not the Broncos.

From what I have been reading about Miami, Glen Dorsey doesn't fit their scheme and Chris Long would be a better fit. St. Louis would be insane to pass up on Jake Long if he was there. Atlanta was destined for Brian Brohm the day Petrino took the job, That leaves New England with one helluva choice, Glen Dorsey or Darren McFadden. And the Raiders would likely get the New England leftover. Thats how I see the top 5 atm.

You're right about Dorsey, he's a pure 4-3 guy and Miami likes their 3-4. As for Long, I think it all depends on his weigh in... does he have the size to be a 3-4 end?
I can see Miami not liking any of the top 5 prospects, hence the possibility of a trade-down. The player teams would be most likely to trade up for is McFadden, as RB is a position that can have an immediate impact. Atlanta would be an interesting possibility - they've got a fair number of picks and DeAngelo Hall to use to swing a deal.

I don't get the whole "we must trade up to get McFadden" thing either. It's stupid. We don't have enough draft picks this year anyway cuz we traded up last year.

Okay heres the deal. In no way shape or form should the Broncos trade to get Run-DMC but if he happened to fall into our laps I can guarantee Shanny pulls the trigger on him. He would do the same thing to our running game that AD does for MIN.
I know everyone here is saying he doesnt fix our defense. True but all of you would rather get a player that isnt worth drafting in the position we are drafting in.
With all the being said I dont want us to draft Run-DMC with all the other holes we have.

:fight:Well just like our Broncos have been playing all year inconsistantly, so has the running game since Portis.. All of our running backs are above average and that's it.. None of them really ever bust long runs and they don't score touchdowns like Davis and Portis did.. So yeah getting Mcfadden would probably add an additional but guaranteed 10 plus td's for the offense..
We need a star back like we had with Davis.. I mean can you imagine what a player like Adrian Peterson would have done for the Broncos offense this season despite poor defense and special teams..
Get Mcfadden!!!! :fight:

I think a good D Tackle, LB and someone to replace D. Fox and then maybe a Safety for the future.

Am i the only one who sees S. Young and a great quality back? The guy has done fantastic for his first year and if the tweaks his body in the offseason he COULD be a T.D. type back.

Right now SY is too fragile to take on the load by himself. IF Henry can heal the knee to 100% for next year and SY adds some bulk, the 2 will make a formidable 1-2 punch. Offense is set except for OL. OL needs some depth to it. This draft needs to focus on All defense and a gamebreaking KR/PR.
