What do you think about Eddie Royal, he is a burner and can run routes unlike Donnie Avery. He has great hands and if we could get him in the 3rd I wouldn't mind trading for a 3rd round pick to get him.

His skillset compements B Marsh as he is a quicker speed guy and a deep threat. I think he could step in immediately and play WR. Not sure but i think he also plays KR/PR

What do you think?

If Javon stays, then yes I say we look at Royal, if not, then no. We would need someone who could break into the starting roster eventually.

GREAT PICK. I think Royal would be a perfect fit... WR/KR... If he had a good QB throwing to him he would be a 1-2 round pick!

yeah I could definilty take Royal. He would upgrade our special teams as a returner and become a great four guy (if javon stays). If not I say we still need a ligit #2 guy. J-Walk, B-Marsh, Slot Machine, and Royal would be spectacular. royal would still be a decent pick if Javon leaves but we would have to fill that spot so why get a guy that might only be a 3 or 4th option when we need a #2. but at the same time this guy can return kicks with the best of them. And as far as I'm concerned we don't have anyone right now that can do that, with the exception of Hall but we really don't know for sure since he only returned for us the last 3 games. either way we definitly need a returner some how. We either need to make sure one of our picks can return or we need to get someone in free agency just to return. I feel like this is a major thing for us to improve on. If we can get some better field position next year maybe we can put some points on the board.

Of course being a Va Tech Fan, I'd love to see Eddie in the orange and blue. He is a speedy receiver/return man that will go over the middle without hesitation. A perfect round 3rd-4th round draft choice in my book. His stock as a return "specialist" is very high and now the entire country is finally taking notice. At 5-10" and 180 lbs, he is a small guy who knows how to make himself even smaller in traffic. Very hard to get your hands on and tackle, just ask any coach in the ACC. A perfect slot receiver with explosive return skills. Lets get a second hokie on the team, they are not all criminals.

It would be an awesome duo.

Check out that video of eddie royal.
But seriously, Sean Glennon hurt his value and couldn't throw the football to him. Eddie is FAST and EXPLOSIVE. Just look at the punt returns in the video. Eddie Royal will not only be the starting receiver along side Marshall, he will add another element to our special teams play. WE MUST GET THIS GUY (after Kenny Phillips)

Eddie is awsome! He also kills it at returns. Eddie is not big which may be a problem in the NFL. If there was a way it could happen change my picks. Great video. VT is going to miss him!

If he's as good as they say returning definitely. I think a big we weren't that great this year was Special Teams. A big part of our offense stunk in scoring was because we always had to go 80 yards down the field. My hope is that the Broncos get a great return man this year.:salute:

We need to find special teamers who can block for our return man.

True, but I think a dynamite returner would be a good step in the right direction.:salute:

Daunte Hall wasn't big and he was able to do his thing... I guess counting on Royal to be a #2 WR might be a stretch... BUT... I could see him replacing Stokley in a few years as the slot WR.

Wouldn't it be great if we had a offense such as,

Brandon Marshall wr1
Earl Bennett wr2 or Jordy Nelson
Brandon Stokely SR and Eddie Royal (backup & KR/PR)
Tony Scheffler TE

and with the cherry on top....

Rashard Mendenhall RB
Owen Schmitt FB

And Finally our QB Jay Cutler Can u say dream team.

Derrick Mason is 5'9", and I think he is one of the top WR's every year

I like the idea of Eddie Royal, although I'm not sold on Eddie Royal to be certain. I would like us to take a good, long look at Devin Thomas out of MSU, as his size and speed are comparable to Marshall's...and having a tanhttp://forums.denverbroncos.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=2089101
Broncos Country Message Boards - Reply to Topicdem of two big, strong, athletic receivers would be hard to press, much less contain in zone schemes with both their ability to box out DB's and jump over them to go get the ball...Another WR I'd love to take a look at would be Andre Caldwell, who reminds me a lot of Rod Smith when he was young a quick, not so savvy yet but he's got a knack for running routes. Kid led the Gators in receptions all time and, although he has been injured a few times, would fit incredibly well with the Broncos offense. He's got the legs to run a sub-4.40 40-yd. dash, and I really like how this kid has looked in the Senior Bowl. Check him out...

And one final Receiver I'd like us to draft, possibly 4th round, would be Donnie Avery out of Houston, who's been clocked at a sub-4.30 40-yd. dash...WHOA!!! Check this kid out, very similar to Eddie Royal, with less publicity, which all equals accessibility for the Donkeys....here's a sweet pass from Kolb a year ago...
