Bring him in, Id give up Foxworth straight up and call it a day. If they want a pick, they can have a 4th rounder. I dont know how he will do in the denver air with his conditioning, but him for 2 plays a series is better than anybody else we have for 4 plays.

:rockon:We better pursue Rogers. The article states hes having weight problems but he's def. worth a look. If we can bring in guys like Gerrard Warren and Sam Adams why not Rogers??? Especially since DT is a need position!!:salute:

I worry about Rogers... LIONS were heading to the playoffs then they collapsed, and part of that collapse is b/c of ROGERS. He's too big and he wore down. He doesn't play hard all the time, lacks motivation...

Marinelli let him do his own thing, never pushed him to get in shape, paid Rogers all that money, and then he goes out and lets his coach down.

NOW... maybe a change of scenery and a coach to harass Rogers is what he needs. NO QUESTION he has the potential... and he's a monster when he wants to.

BUT... if he gets cut... Broncos wont be able to afford him. I think it's safer to trade a 4th for Marcus Spears.

Maybe if DET trades Roy Williams... Maybe we can trade Walker for ROgers?

Imagine trading a player for Rogers, then a 4th for Spears. We would have a nice D-line... Spend draft picks on Phillips and a LB in the second... Sign Boss Bailey... We would have a MONSTER defense!

I imagine he comes cheap in a trade... He has a BIG contract and DET has basically said they'll willing to cut him... SO, most teams will just ride it out and make their move after he's cut.

Given his contract and weight... I would offer a 6th and a 7th... Something like that. NOT Foxy and not a 4th. Maybe Henry or Walker?

I heard that Detroit would most likely get a first day pick but not a first rounder.

Why not bring in a guy like Rogers? Because he's just like Warren, Adams, and Gardner. Great talent, lazy, not motivated.

Why not learn from past mistakes and not make yet another HUGE one?

Just say no to Rogers!

They won't get a second for him either so they won't get a first day pick for him!

They are better off letting him go than taking a 6th cuz then they will get compensation the next year.

That is exactly why Drew Brees was let to walk too, the Chargers got compensation

If Rogers is released/cut, they don't get compensation. :P

He's a monster when he wants to be. I'd offer up a 4th for him easy.

Gerard Warren lacked motivation with the Browns.

Sometimes, a new change of scenery can change that.. as it did with Warren.

I thought letting Warren go was one of the main start to our problems of the year.

ROGERS IS NOT LIKE WARREN OR THE OTHERS HE IS ACTUALLY DONE IT BEFORE HE IS AN ELITE (DT) AND THE BRONCOS WOULD BE CRAzy NOT TO GO AFTER HIM

I personally think we should do after him but if the price is too high we should pull out. (It most likely will)

I think maybe Rogers is like any 345lb player, he's going to wear down, which is why adding more than just one DT this year is important, imo.

If it's Thomas, McKinley, Sedrick Ellis and whomever, you'll still have to substitute them liberally, imo, to keep them as fresh as possible for the second half of the season and playoffs.

Even if Denver traded a 12pack and a larger pizza for Rogers, they'd still need another DT (Preferably a young player to develope), just to keep them all as fresh as possible......
