So who will we be picking in the 1st round of the 2008 NFL Draft? Will it be Kenny Phillips, Ryan Clady, or somebody else? Then, who do u like in the later rounds of the draft.

If were talking 1st round I think Clady and Philips would be possibilities but I would throw in Connor, Rivers, Balmer would be a possibility as well. Some names I would like to see with our other picks.

LB- Erin Henderson, Curtis Lofton
S-Thomas DeCoud, Jonathan Hefney
OT- Duane Brown
WR-Devin Thomas, Donnie Avery
RB- Chris Johnson, Matt Forte
DT-Frank Okam, Dre Moore

Depends on what happens from here on until the draft.

If Henry is cut/traded, RB in the 1st becomes a lot more likely.

If Walker is cut/traded AND we don't get a WR in FA, then WR sometime in the 1st two rounds becomes a lot more likely.

If Lynch retires, you could see a safety in the 1st or 2nd round. Maybe even if he doesn't. But I think it's a bit more likely they do if he does hang em up.

DT is a favorite for the first two rounds no matter what. LB too.

I don't think a 1st day OL is very likely because of our history of taking them late 2nd day of the draft.

Not a running back. Preferably Ryan "My Fair" Clady or Kenny Phillips. If no one drops to 12 who isn't supposed to, I would say trade down to get more picks.

Kenny Phillips is not a top 15 pick...have you guys not been reading at all. Fact is that he is a huge reach and will likely go in the twenties unless someone listens to the unknowledgeable draftniks. Clady will likely be off the board as will Rivers. Merling is a feesable pick, but I doubt we take him...money is that we take a top 15 rated product - Mendenhall, Stewart, Williams, Otah (I would not mind - but he does not fit our system) and unless Phillips pulls into that area with a stellar combine or if Balmer or Connor raises their stock. But as of now, I do not see him in the area at all.
