okay after scrolling all the sites i could find regarding off-season football I have put a list of names we seem to be intrested in and names we have on our rosters teams are intrested in. Now this is all hypothetical as no deals have gone through, but keep faith as these are all targets

Denver=
1. DT Shaun Rodgers
2. DT Dwayne Robertson
3. WR DJ Hackett
4. WR Justin Gage
5. WR Devery Henderson
6. S Gibril wilson
7. S Will demps
8. LB Brandon chillar
9. LB Reggie torbor
10. RB Derrick Ward

Now i am sure there are more targets and some i missed but these names are the ones that pop up alot regarding targets and what not. again nothing has happened and it could be we dont get any of these guys but i think its safe to say we are looking at them

Now i will list our players possibly fetching us good deals and the teams the deals would be with, again all speculation but it is interesting

1. Javon walker- New Orleans, Tampa, And Washington seem to be the tiop 3 names, compensation has included some form of a conditional draft pick, possibly even a 5 or 6th rd pick

2. Ian Gold- Cincy this is the team most interested and it seems a 5th rd pick could be in the works

3. Mike bell - Atalnat is possibly considering swapping a seventh rd pick for him

4. Foxworth or paymah- New Orleans is rumored to be willing to give us a 3rd rd pick for him

as of now these are the 4 names that come up the most, so who knows i would be happy getting a 5th for gold, a seventh for bell, a conditional for javon, and a 3rd for foxy

that would give us

1st
2nd
3rd
4a
4b
5a
5b
5c
7a
7b
7c

and whatever javon gets us next year thats alot of picks

DISCLAIMER>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> all of this is rumor from various sites and should not be taken as serious trades or transactions untill completed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think theres about a 70% chance Boss Bailey will be a bronco.

Boss bailey actually has not been listed on any sites anywhere that i can find of importance as being an interest of the broncos that crap started with him being champs brother and jus spread like wildfire, he wasnt even that great of a backer in detroit, hell if he was they wouldnt let him go because he aint that expensive.

I would rather have ian gold and webster than boss bailey.

Right now I think we'll be targetting the following:

OG Jake Scott
WR Bryant Johnson
WR Bernard Berrian
WR DJ Hackett
DT Rod Coleman
LB Demorrio Williams
LB Reggie Torbor
LB Brandon Chillar
S Gibril Wilson
K Josh Brown

I'm hoping we get one of the wide receivers atleast.

My ideal free agency would be:

WR DJ Hackett
LB Reggie Torbor
S Gibril Wilson
K Josh Brown

4 impact starters, 3 at a relatively low cost in todays FA, and one impact player. All can be here for the long haul too age wise.

After we deal Walker, Bell and Gold that leaves the following positions to be filled:

DT
OT
S depth
WR depth
RB starter/depth

I really want to get Stewart or Mendenhall at #12.

If Henry doesn't return to form this season, he's gone.

And then in the draft, what are our two big options? Knowshon Moreno and Chrs Wells?

That scares me.

If I had to say what direction we'd go from here, I'd want to get Shaun Rogers taken care of first. Do what we can to get him, but don't give up a first day pick for him unless we get another first day pick in return. We can't afford to take that gamble.

At pick #12, I really want to get Stewart or Mendenhall, and I'm not sure if Shanahan can really pass one of those physical marvels off. My preference is Stewart, but I'll settle with the 225 4.37 wonder as well.

In the second round, there are two prospects I'd target, Pat Sims and Dre' Moore. If we can't get one of those, let's trade back with other targets on the board that teams could be looking for.

In the fourth, lets look for a depth safety. Someone like Marcus Griffin, Jamar Adams, Quentin Demps, someone we can use in a Curome Cox type role until they may end up as starter material down the road. If we're comfortable with our depth here, I hope we reach for a special teams ace like Jordan Dizon who we can groom into a ST captain, like Keith Burns was back in the day.

Let's also start thinking about a fullback here too, Cecil Sapp is hitting free agency. I reallly like Peyton Hillis as a player for us.

With our 5th rounder, let's target a future punter. Whether it be Brooks or Dragsovich, we'll be set.

In the 7th, if we don't get Josh Brown, this is the time to find a kicker.

Our other 7th, we can take a flier on a prospect who fell for some reason. Typical Shanahan risk player.

If everything goes right we can look at the following acquisitions:
RB Jonathan Stewart
FB Peyton Hillis
WR DJ Hackett

DT Shaun Rogers
DT Pat sims
LB Reggie Torbor
S Gibril Wilson
S Marcus Griffin

I know I ignored offensive line, but I think we deserve to let our players get some chemistry with each other. We had a lot of new starters last year and are already due for some this offseason (Ryan Harris).

Hopefully we can keep this O-line for us next year healthy:

LT Harris
LG Hamilton
C Nalen
RG Kuper
RT Pears

Myers and Holland can be effective enough depth. The experience they got last year will prove invaluable for this season.

At RB, if we get Stewart, I'd expect Henry to get dumped.

At WR, Hackett would be our new #2 for Cutler.

This is why I hope we can dump off Walker, Bell and Gold. We can get some picks for them that can help u fill out our depth some more.

AT DT, we have Rogers and Thomas starting, with Harris, the rookie and McKinley rotating in.

DE should be better next year with more experience and with Moss hopefully healthy the whole year.

We can put Webster in his proper place as depth, and we'll have a better starter in Reggie Torbor. Winborn is more a case of addition by subtraction relating to Gold. Williams should improve in his second season at MLB.

At safety, we have more youth back there with Wilson at one safety spot, and Lynch/Abdullah at the other. We have other prospects who can act as depth too.

Hope is one thing though, we'll see what happens.

very good post i can see some thought went into it, i would be quite happy with those FA aquisitions.

i wouldnt be upset if we took mendehall or stewart because moreno and wells dont interest me at all, but i am not sure shanny will break his trend, however if he does this is the year to do it. i do feel we will trade back, and there seems to be a general notion out of indy today that this could be the direction we are headed, but who knows anything can happen

What about LB? Everyone is in such a rush to get rid of Gold that they fail to realize that even with him we dont have enough depth at LB.

Gold had a better statistical season so I dont know why the rush to get rid of him. I think Dizon will be solid in ST and possibly could start one day once he develops but I would rather us take Erin Henderson or Dan Connor in the draft than Torbor.

first off money, he is a FA next year and worth a draft pick now would you rather get a draft pick for him now or have him walk for nothing next year????? gold had his moments but its time for us to get youthful, i agree with you on henderson and i want him here badly.
