Ok so this is a slight adjustment from my first draft, which we traded down to the texans here: http://forums.denverbroncos.com/showthread.php?t=114308
Trade our 1st, second, and 6th to the bengals for their 1st, 3rd, and fourth. I think they might rather get a DE like derrick harvey since they lost that one guy with the long hair or maybe malcom kelly because of the T.J., C.J. problems
1. Sedrick Ellis: incredibly athletic, jake long type strenghth. Obviously one the elite DTs and some people actually think he might be better then dorsey in the nfl
trade our 3rd and two fourth round picks to jacksonville for their 2nd and lower fourth round pick
2. Chris Johnson: I repeat: my favorite player in the draft. I can't remember the last time someone other then a WR/CB scored a 4.2 40 yard dash.
Tatum bell Speed (x2)+warrick dunn agility+brandon marshall balance= chris johnson
trade 4 round pick #20 and 5th round pick #4 to ST. Louis for fourth round pick #2
4 (from st. louis) Eddie royal. Biggest WR sleeper, deseasn jackson type speed and great at breaking tackles with an impressive 24 bench rep. Could be the next steve smith
4. Kirk Barton in my opinion best overall sleeper, jake long type strength with amazing 4.95 speed and a 4.59 shuttle. We could eventually switch him to LT, depending how much harris developes. With enough seasoning, this guy could become a bigger, stronger version of matt lepsis with speed to compliment.
5. Owen schmitt/ jacob hester We've got the best O-line system in the league, so why don't we actually get a REAL FB not some practice squad converted, undersized RB and see how much bette the system gets. With a solid FB, we can utilize chris johnson's speed to seal off the outside or let travis henry get to the second level more often.
7. taylor mellhif gotta admit, we're gonna be pretty lost without jason elam. lets just draft a kicker, and see how it goes. maybe we'll hit a diamond in the rough
7. Durant Brooks 45.1 punt average, pretty dang good. Could be our answer for our punter after the tod saurbraun/paul earnster era.
Ok so that was my draft, consisting of a lot of trades. I think it would benefit our team nicely and i think most of the picks and trades are pretty credible.
Any thoughts?
