He's calling New England and trying to trade up, He's also calling the Lions to try and move down for a third... You see now that we got Robertson its not just the signing its the leverage we have we can tell teams hey, we can move up and still take Ellis or move down and take Phillips or one of the runningbacks not named Mcfadden... Mike is a genious he not only holds the cards in his hands but were at that perfect pick were someone will slide to 12 and guess who the'll be calling... We have so many options now that we STOLERobertson...Teams now have to make us the better offer becouse now we can stand pat at #12 and pick whatever we want... GREAT JOB MIKE!!!!

You may want to tell Mike to get off the phone with whoever he's talking to in New England...cause someone else in the patriot organization just traded #7 to New Orleans...from what I'm hearing.

So what your saying is he can't make up his mind, or he has an excellent long distance package?

I think he will see who is there at 7 and pull the trigger if his guy there or if hes not stay at 12 and if his next guy isn't there move down to 15. since there is only 10 min at each pick he has to have the trades in place.

That was my first reaction as well. Not to say that he won't play for us (but if they knew that his knee was that bad), using him as leverage to manipulate the situation in the draft then letting him go so we don't loose a pick next year.

I wonder if he gets good reception inside the facility? Let's just hope he doesn't get a dropped call, because he could be like "DAMN PHONE COMPANY, I'M SO MAD THAT I'M GONNA DRAFT BRIAN BROHM WITH PICK #12!"

I'm assuming he saw it on ESPN First Take but it was just for a mock draft.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but Mel Kiper now has us taking Albert from Virginia at # 12, not Jeff Otah anymore!:D According to what I just saw on NFL Live.

That would be fine by me! Albert can play almost any position on the OL -- and he's not projecting to a potential top 10 pick because teams don't think he can transition to LT! He can.
Albert makes a lot of sense because however the situation works out this year with either Kuper or Harris becoming the LT, Albert will still fit in. And next year he could possibly move over to LT depending on what happens right now, or he could become a fixture at RT and would be an instant upgrade over Erik Pears.
Either way, it's win-win. I'd be fine with Clady or Williams too. Whichever of those three players Denver gets would be great.
JUST SAY "NO!" To Mendenhall.
