Shannon Sharpe Retiring?

I heard today that Dion Sanders was leaving the NFL today pre-game show and Shannon Sharpe was replacing him. Does anyone know anything about this? As the best tight end the League has ever seen, I think that this could be a very sad day for Bronco's everywhere.
