Seeing as Ramsey's contract is up after the season it can't hurt to talk about who should back up Jay in 09.

Do you think we should resign Ramsey?

Or let Hackney step in from the PS?

Or draft a QB in the later rounds?

Or sign another Veteran?

To resign Ramsey would be safe but more expensive than having Hackney or a late round pick at the #2 spot.

My guess is we draft one in the 6th or 7th, and let Hackney and whoever we draft battle it out in training camp.

What do you all think?

It will be Hackney Ramsey, or some other Vet. We will not have a rookie take over the reins if god forbid Cutler went down. We wouldnt want a rookie running a team with super bowl aspirations.

Draft a late rounder and mold him to our system. Then pray to God he never sees a second of playing time.

Please don't waste any pick on a position we hope never plays. That's what aged veterans are for.

Unless Ramsey gets a shot as a starter, I would expect he will be back.

I would love to see the Broncos draft Missouri QB Chase Daniel...at 6'0", he has alot of similarities to Drew Brees, so his size won't prevent him from playing in the NFL. Plus, he is smart and could play fairly soon coming into the League.

yeup.. that would be a GREAT backup! I would like to see that too. He's a bit short, but that kid can PLAY.

(note, I would hope we draft the safety out of Missouri first) :D :salute:
