does anyone else's madden 09 freeze on them?

yup, always when in franchise trying to play cleveland, when they go on offense it freezes.

i just turn it off and on again and it usually works...

Yeah that happened to me last night. i was ticked because i had just played like 4 games and didn't save. now i save after every game:smug:

It's started to do it on me..................franchise mode, at the end of games so no chance to save :mad:

I can't get past week 17. I try to save after the game, and it freezes. So I tried saving after the playoffs, still freezes. THEN I tried to play the playoffs and go straight to the off-season, and it freezes while it's loading the off-season. Now I can't even play my franchise. This is ridiculous. EA makes so much money from this game and you can't even play it.

It has happened to me in the past, I cleared the Cache from the memory and it helped...didnt stop it completely but it did help. Directions to clear cache are

or if youre lazy

Go to the Xbox Dashboard, select the System Blade, and select Memory.
Highlight the HD symbol and press Y.
Press X, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, X.

mine freezes on my 2nd year of franchise mode during the freakin pre season so i cant even play franchise mode anymore so now i started up superstar mode and its fun! Yes unfortunately it does happen to the ps3 maybe not yours particularly but i did a little digging around and there have been some reports of madden 09 freezing on the ps3 atleast we know its not hardware issues its just the manufacturers

Yea big problem with the game this year freezing in franchise, not as bad as last year but bad. EA sucks at testing before release.

Supposedly theres a patch coming out late tomorrow night to fix this and alot of other problems with the game like the penalty sliders not working, CPU hiking the ball to quick, lack of player progression and some other things. Hopefully it works.

Freezing not as bad as last year? My Madden 08 didn't freeze once, but my Madden 09 has frozen more than a dozen times.

Mine freezes at least once a sitting, which is gh3y cause I have to get up and manually reset everything. Mine does it a lot during franchise, and my NHL 08 did it every time during the loading screen on my dynasty there, EA is stupid but I have no comp to buy anything else so I have to buy their stuff, I have been buying everything in the last 2 months for my Ps3 instead and I've been good.....so far :eek:
