I know we have stopped running this for now but the 3-4 i say we bring it back. For one thing most of the best defences in the league are 3-4 for example Baltimore, New England, San Diego(with Merriman), Pittsburgh, Dallas(only when they play) and lastly New York Jets.

So with a few signings we could make this team have a dominate defence

Firstly we need a NT i would love to get Terrence Cody but he has said he is not planning on coming out so we grab the next best NT in B.J. Raji he could anchor our defence for years to come

Secondly we need to draft our biggest need which is saftey and we take the best FS there which would either be Derek Pegues or C.J Spillman personaly i would be happy with either they are both excellent in pass defence

Thirdly we need a big DE to fit our new scheme if Vance Walker is here we must get him for one he is a excellent pass rusher and will thrive in the 3-4 and secondly he is a great run stopper

Now we might be able to find another starter here but we are better off looking for good projects so in the fourth we need a MLB who knows how to play the 3-4 one player comes to mind Worrell Williams he is a great tackler and very good in coverage

Fifth round we should try and get another player who can play 3-4 linebacker i say we draft Anthony Felder he is not a pass rushing outside linebacker he is a play maker in the open field and a good coverage guy on the TE

6th we go offence this one and get a really good guard to replace Hamilton in Louis Vasquez

Our second sixth we should get a back up NT in Antonio Dixon he is a big guy and could become a good part of our line roation if we keep it.

7th we get our replacement slot reciever when Stokley is gone in Mike Wallace who could also help us in kick returns.

Number 2 in the seventh we get a special teams monster in Jamario O'Neal

So in theory i want our team next year to look like

LDE-Marcus Thomas
NT-Terrence Cody/B.J Raji
RDE-Vance Walker

WLB-Jarvis Moss
MLB-D.J Williams
MLB-Worrell Williams
SLB-Anthony Felder

CB-Champ Bailey
SS-Josh Barrett
FS-Derek Pegues/C.J Spillman
CB-Dre Bly

That in my opinion would be a quality defence and allow our offence more time on the field

I dunno. I like the 4-3.

I think the 3-4 can be effective but your front 3 have to be big and experienced. It seems we have alot of speed on the ends, and we do need a big time NT.

Also, Slowik, even though everyone hates him, is a 4-3 guy, and if we go to a 3-4 that means a new coaching staff, new positions and all of these rookies, and no cohesiveness which translates to another year of defensive mediocrity.

No thanks.
