Madden Nonsense

I know this may not appeal to many whatsoever. But it just keeps sticking out to me for some reason...If anyone has ever played Madden, not every player is on the roster. I have enjoyed the Madden series but a player that has been with us for a loooong time that has never been on Madden is Mike Leach...why is this? The only time I saw him on a game was ESPN NFL 2k5. I just feel like our player should be represented....after all, he has never botched a snap, he is listed as tight end, and after our quarterbacks began goin' down, he started to warm up as Quarterback. Definitely a stand out guy that I would love to have on my Madden Roster.

By the way, if you havn't noticed, I am a serious person when it comes to rosters on the game. I could give less about completing franchise but I love having ALL players there on the game. I always update and start everything over. Incase you are all lookin to imrpove your run game, try Hillis as the main tailback with Pinnock as the blockers...always positive yards!

Madden doesnt have a set postion for LS, thats why they place him at TE.

Its because Mike Leach is never active on the roster at the times of the roster updates.

Leach has been our LS for a long time now. He's the best in the league.

They recently added Mustard on the roster along with Pope and others. Just for Madden though they have Eslinger with us rather than Gandy because we need a certain amount of lineman in the game. But as I said before, Leach has been our guy for quite some time. There is a position for LS in the game, but it isn't noted but they could at least put him on the line or TE, know what I mean?

I think they are trying to avoid having "garbage" players on the roster (we all know Leach isn't garbage, but in Madden he would have absolutely no significance). He was in one of the older Maddens though, as a bad TE who started at LS on the default roster.

I think they are also lazy. :laugh:

I mean, until the Raiders picked him up, Ashley Lelie wasn't in 09'.


I just wish they would add a practice squad option. The player can't play in any games, but can progress a little bit (nothing big) and can be claimed like in real life.

Thanks for the Advice, I need all I can get, lol. I got my @$$ Spanked by a dude using the Saints lastnight. I will try the Hillis & Pinnock combo next time.

Look again, he is on the Roster. This is the first year Madden has stayed up with changes after week 7. I have used Leach ans seen im on roster even during the PS2 days. Just scroll down. (xbox360 is the system im using)

Still can't find Leach on the roster updates, however...I found our Practice Squad Player: RYAN McBEAN. Still wonderin' where you could find Leach and good luck using Hillis!

Couple things I hate about Madden this year: (and it never changes)

-Where the heck are the real home uniforms? Back on PS2 they had all uniforms. Why cant they do it for XBOX 360?

-Like it or not, there are only a few staple plays that work. After a while I get sick of throwing out routes to WR. I get sick of using the same 3 good running plays. It just gets boring.

-The CPU QB is unreal, no matter who it is. They always go 20 for 21 or 16 for 17. Obvious glitch.

-The CPU can complete passes on passing routes that the human cannot. This is a serious bother for me.

-The Defensive backs are way too good for the CPU.

-Too hard to sack the QB.

-If you draft a player and change anything about him (even jersey #) you lose all info about when the player was drafted. Annoying, and this didn't happen on PS2 version of older games.



it goes on and on and on. After a long time of being loyal to this product I'll rent first next year and if it sucks I"ll go without football video games. makes me mad but oh well.

I just wish they give our o-line some credit and boost their ratings. if not overall, at least individual pass blocking ratings. its ridiculous. Also, i think cutler awareness should be at least low 80s. Low 70's is downright unfair. im sure i can place the ball a lot better on the deep throws if his awareness/accuracy was higher.

I just played ESPN 2K5 for the hell of it the other night, and had more fun in that one game than I've had in every game I've played in Madden 09 so far combined.

I stopped playing Madden '09 and traded it in one night after I was playing someone online. This guy was using the Eagles, and I was up 21-10 in the 4th quarter. I was REALLY stopping this guy, then all of the sudden, I couldn't get a stop to save my life. My WR's started dropping passes, EVEN when I user caught. Then I was on the 2 going in, and even though I covered the ball, Samuel touched Hillis' arm, and he fumbled. 97 yd Fum return for a TD.

Screw Madden.

the thing i hate about madden........is madden. john madden. i mean seriously, fifa is the only game with a worse commentator. first of all, it really gets old at times

and if you come into the game with a crappy QB rating but good attributes, then "this game is featuring one of the best QB's in the nfl." next play, you through ONE incompletion, "that guy couldn't hit the water if he fell out of a boat!"

The franchise mode in Madden makes the game for me...

I'm just now drafting players and I find the CPU has no drafting AI whatsoever and draft like 10 QB's in the first round :confused:

So what gives here ? Thats Crap !!

Any fix to this ??? :confused:
