As of late I have seen alot of complaining that our youth movement was B.S. and we're pursuing too many old cats that won't last much longer than 2-3 years.

Before anyone gets too far ahead of themselves you have to understand that a youth movement is NOTHING without veteran leadership. Veterans like Dawkins, Douglas, or (god forbid) Ray Lewis would be key to our youth movement....granted nobody knows if we will actually ink any of these bigger names...but it would be key to have that vocal leadership that we have missed since the departure of the likes of Wilson, Lynch, Romanowski...

Just think about it, let F.A. take its course before the flaming begins...

Well put, we need to bring in a veteran and a rookie at DT, DE, LB, S, and CB
If the rookies can crack the starting line up all the better, but we will need veterans that understand the 3-4. They can play and teach.

I agree, ppl should shut up with all the crying about signing old players. if Dawkins and Lewis came to denver it would not only improve our weak d and give us some fire. It would give us great vet leadership for our younger players. Sign some vets to win now and build a young core in the draft for the next 2-3 years.

Hopefully thats the direction we are going in, our ofense is good "now" and "now" mightnot last in the 3 years to completely re vamp the defense through younger talent alone. We have to go in wanting to win now, and build with the same mindset.

I fully believe our team needs a few old vets who can manage it on the field and give it a winning attitude. I don't want to see the entire D filled with 30+ year old's though.

I think we're signing some vents, and then filling the rest of the voids in the draft...

Remember we have NINE picks.
