DENVER - Veteran NFL running back LaMont Jordan planned to meet with the Denver Broncos Tuesday evening, FOX 31's Josina Anderson has learned.

Jordan, 30, spent the 2008 season with New England where he carried the ball 80 times for 363 yards and 4 touchdowns.

The 8th-year veteran was in Arizona Monday meeting with the Cardinals organization, Anderson reports.

Jordan's best season was 2005 when he rushed for 1,025 yards and scored 9 rushing TDs and two receiving TDs. He spent the first four seasons of his career with the New York Jets.

He'd be a good back-up

i think that would be a quality pickup for us really, jack of all trades, master of none type that can contribute right away

We don't need him. I'd rather draft a running back towards the end of the draft.

I agree to a point, but I guess it all depends on the contract. If we can get him at a decent price it might be worth it because we really only have 3 tailbacks on the roster, if you don't count Hillis.

We have Young on the roster so I suppose that finding another scat back is not really a priority.

Jordan would be more than serviceable in the ZBS. He's a tough runner between the tackles.

Given his age, I would prefer Arrington if we don't get a RB in the draft.
Speaking of which is JJ completely off the table at this point? :incomplete:

I would so rather have JJ instead because you can use him as a PR and KR too. Probably wouldnt be the best sign if we do.
