cutler to washington
campbell and #13 overall to denver
draft rey rey and cushing, (posible raji and rey rey) best case scenario imo, 2 young, fast, and badass linebackers with chemistry already...but now i will simply sit back shut up and watch the show....

I think a scenario with washington is the most likely at this point. Its an NFC team with an owner willing to dish out anything. I think that might be their initial offer but watch it get bigger as other teams start bidding. I wouldnt be surprised to see an all out bidding war occur. Anybody remember what Mike Ditka did to get Ricky Williams? Lookout

i honestly believe people over estimate cutler he had good numbers for a year and hes god... this is probably why m not denvers GM but i want to see cutler gone asap so we can move past this. maybe add another draft pick or something but i think any team willing to trade two first round picks for any one player is not very smart...i simply came up with this scenario to get two USC linebackers...we fn sweet if we could muster a way to get all three lol

although now having re rad what u posted i can see posibly what u meant as there are more than just the redskins jockying for cutler so we could end up getting more than he is actually worth....

Exactly. By no means do I think Cutler is worth anything close to what I believe we'll get for him. The fact is, there will be around 10 teams bidding for his services. Supply and demand. 10 teams are in need of a franchise QB. We happen to have the 1 (supply) available. I expect itll come down to who pays more. In the end, that team will have overpaid for their franchise QB but wont look back, because ultimately it will benefit their franchise.

absolutly, but with the current spending spree washington has been on, and a unconfirmed report on nfl network tonight, says washington was pushing to get a deal done as early as tonight, with that being said denver would be stupid to allow it to happen without bringing in all trade possibilities first but i would like to see our D get this huge boost from the USC stimulus package lol...i would honestly like to see how chris simms does honestly...because he was having a career season before this spleen blew up...he is underestimated imo...but he hasnt played in 2 years i think it was so idk...i hope mcdaniels is half the mastermind we are paying him to be this year

I hope Denver waits til draft day. Getting a deal done within 2 days would be a horrible decision. Being patient will cause confusion and greed to flow through the veins of these other coaches, and cause draft picks to flow through the broncos front office. Hopefully Bowlen at least waits a couple weeks before making his decision. If I were him, I'd be straight up with teams when they called. Say "Ive been offered this, can you do better?" If not hang up the phone. I guarantee youd get guys that would go crazy for cutler and overspend. As far as Chris Simms goes, I believe he was a backup for the titans and only missed one year I believe. I would love for them to give Simms a shot. He played for Tampa Bay, when was the last time a QB played for Tampa and put up amazing numbers? With our playmakers I think he could be a quality starter. I also believe he had a workout with mcdaniels before he came to Denver, and that's why he was brought here...Mcdaniels obviously saw something in him. I really hope we dont take a QB in the first round. Id love to see Simms man the team. Plus the amount of defensive talent we can get outweighs the QB pick imo.

your probably right colt would be a better trade than campbell, and hellz ya i wouldnt feel content with any of this years qbs running our offence, im not sold on simms but he isnt a bad qb, he just had some bad luck with his health. i dont know if i would hold out on this until draft DAY, trades that happen on draft day usually happne in a hurry and someone gets the shaft, get it done the week of, i would expect a decent qb, high to mid 1st this year possibly a 2nd this year, or 1st &2nd next year....im getting all excited, it pisses me off that i have no sya in the matter lmao

Denver will get a ton of picks for Jay Cutler.
I think that Denver will get Washington's 1st Round this year and in 2010 , 2nd Round Pick(after trading Jason Campbell) and Chris Horton , Anthony Montgomery.
And probably more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is going to be HUGE

Bronco greed will pervail..............The crybaby will end up going nowhere. His attitude will end up seeing him being a benchwarmer, watching Simms toss interceptions till he's worth nothing more than a 3rd round pick.

Getting ONLY one First Round Pick and not getting any other picks or another First Round round next year is really really dumb.
Sorry but this WHOLE Redskins things just seems rather fishy and in the long run may hurt then help us.

terrible trade........but how about:
Denver gets:
2009 1st rd pick
2010 1st rd pick
Laron Landry
Washingotn gets:
Jay Cutler
2010 3rd rd pick
Then the broncos could hope Mark Sanchez falls to us, and if he doesnt he package our picks up next year to get Bradford.

I don't see the Broncos wanting Campbell. If McDaniels' gets a QB as part of the trade it will be someone who fits the scheme well (smart, good at reading defenses, quick passer). As an earlier poster indicated, taking a flier on Colt Brennan (who would really just be a throw-in) would probably have a better chance of working out than Campbell.

good try there but problemmmm
Landry Safety...
That means Hill or Dawkins would have to be on bench....
So major conflict there...
But this "could" happen
Denver gets:
2009 1st rd pick
2010 1st rd pick
Chris Cooley
Washingotn gets:
Jay Cutler
48th Pick

I think benching Hill wouldnt be an issue. And if you wouldnt take Landry over Hill, then there is no way they would take Cooley over Scheffler. yes Cooley is better but they have the same skill set.

Chris Mortenson reported at least a dozen teams are interested in JAY. This should mean that the price should skyrocket for him. We should should get alot more than 1st round this and next and Cooley. First of all HELL NO to Cooley and HELL no to trading 48th away as well. Only give Cutler. Do not give away any picks we have... We need more picks not fewer. keep all of ours and scavange away some for Cutler.
I am telling you, with as many teams (reported) inerested, this should get wonderful for us. Alot more than just 2 picks and a mediocre player.

Dude, you are right on the money. Cutler is realistically worth 2 first round picks. That is all. But as you said, with 12 teams interested, we will get so much more for him. I wouldnt be surprised to see us end up with 3 first rounders, 2 seconds and a slew of players. Its not unheard of. Look what Mike Ditka did to get Ricky Williams, he gave up his ENTIRE draft and a first the next year I believe. That was for an unproven rookie RUNNINGBACK. Im serious, you watch. Cutler being traded will be the best thing that ever happened to this organization.

Hmmm im not a fan of Jason Cambell coming here. For McDaniels system to succeed, he needs a quarterback with an average arm and good decision making. Sure Cambell has a rocket arm, but his decision making is average at best.
In a shocking development, id like to see Colt Brennan thrown into the mix if the Redskins are the trade partners for Cutler.
Colt Brennan excelled in the spread offence ran in Hawaii. He broke 31 NCAA records during his time there. He is known as a very accurate QB with great decision making but average arm strength.
Im not saying he is the next best thing, however this "system" QB might be a better stop gap than anything else we get, and he could come for cheap.
McDaniels has a good history with lower round draft picks (Brady, Cassel) so why not another 6th round pick here?
Take all of Redskins draft picks this year, plus a few players and its Merry Christmas over in Dove Valley.
