I was so excited for this year's draft and have been happy that we unloaded Cutler and his poor attitude. From this draft I was expecting to see the Broncos rebuild the Defense as this was our worst area by far. More so was our front 7. Our pass rush has been horrid to say the least and our linebackers have moved on from the days of Al Wilson. We were in need of a great leader on the defense, someone that everyone can hang on to for years to come.

I finally got over passing up Orakpo and taking Moreno as it has the potential of a HUGE upside for our offense and taking the pressure off of our QB. I was even ok with Ayers as our 2nd pick as we need someone that can rush the QB that is taller than 6'.

I however am irrate over the fact that we passed up Maualuga when we traded up. We took a CB? I mean come on, we all know what CB's bring to the team, can anyone say "Primadonna?" This is not the leadership we need or want. Rey Maualuga will be a 10 year starter in the NFL and will spend the majority of the years in the Pro Bowl. He is hands down everybit as good as Derrik Brooks was or Ray Lewis. He is a natural born leader and an unreal football player. People passed him over due to his combine? WHAT???? Did anyone remember what happened with Terrell Suggs? He ran a dismal 5.0 40. His combine numbers wer horrid and people thought he was not worth the draft pick. Well as we all know, he is now one of the elite and he was an absolute steal for Baltimore.

Josh McDaniels is doing a great job of tearing up Bronco Country. Way to let go of the next Junior Seau dippy...your draft was :incomplete:

I heard on NFLN tonight that alot of teams had multiple red flags on Rey Maualuga.
Some people saying it maybe psychological, some are saying personality.
But if the Bengals out of all teams took him, that alone is a RED FLAG!!!!!

how many players are supposed to be great that never pan out to be what everyone thought they were going to be, it is hit and miss all we can do is sit and wait and we can judge when they play.

I seriously feel as if i just witnessed a horrible car accident, and all the McDummy sheeple are the rubber neckers. my only console in all this is that he is blowing it so bad we may get lucky and ditch him after the season.

I agree if he was dumb to not pick up Rey then Ild say all the teams who didnt pick him up in the first were dumb. I guess that means 28 teams are all idiots. Smiths 21 INT holds some value on a team that needs to prevent the pass. I will admit we need an ILB but there were plenty of analysts that say that teams said he did not have the quality to leed a LB squad which is trait looked for in an ILB. Some dont think he plays to his full potential whatever that really means. Wait till the season starts to say we messed up because you people thought we reached for Eddie Royal and he has done well in just one year.

I was disappointed with the lack of front seven picks as well. However, I went back and checked free agency, and our updated roster (without draft picks). We have 13 DLs (4 of which picked up via FA), 10 DBs , and 8 LBs. That's all before the draft. We got an OLB/DE in Robert Ayers. We've also signed 2 DLs, 2 DBs, and an LB in undrafted free agency.

So as of right now we have:
15 DLs
12 DBs
9 LBs
+ Robert Ayers, not sure if he's going to be an LB or DL

I'm guessing Xanders, McDaniels, and Nolan thought we have enough to work with. I'm not justifying anything, I'm just trying to help with a reason for us not drafting DLs or LBs.
