I offered my friend any two of my rbs/wr for chris johnson, darren sproles, and ahmad bradshaw. My current lineup is
QB: matt ryan, kyle orton
RB: westbrook, jonesdrew, brandon jacobs, leron mclain, chester taylor, peyton hillis
WR: Ochocinco, Houshmanzadeh, Royal, Justin Gage,
TE: Antonio Gates
D/ST: Titans
Kicker: Neil Rackers
My league allows me to start two RB's two WR's and there is a slot for a rb/wr I currently have westbrook, jonesdrew, and jacobs starting at RB w/ jacobs in the rb/wr slot. My starting Wr's are ochocinco and royal. I am considering this trade because I currently have houshmanzadeh on my bench and by trading away two of my rb/wr I am able to free up a starting spot for him.
The two RB's my friend wants are brandon jacobs and brian westbrook, so the trade would be those two for ahmad bradshaw, sproles (who I originally picked but traded to him along with beanie wells for royal), and chris johnson.
I came to ask some opinions on whether I should go through with this trade.
IMO Johnson is a beast and jacobs and westbrook have had injury problems in the past, also mccoy could steal some of westbrooks carries as well as bradshaw to jacobs, this would also free up a slot for me to start houshmanzadeh and gives me some depth at rb along with my original sleeper pick sproles. What do you guys think?
My friend also counter offered me chris johnson for ochocinco and brandon jacobs; this would also free up a slot for houshmanzadeh who I drafted with my 4th pick and don't want sitting on the bench.

I think it would be in your best interest to not go through with it, I actually am kind of surprised that you are the initiating the trade.
IMO Jacobs and Westbrook are more valuable/bring more to the "fantasy" table then Sproles and Bradshaw. Westbrook is used in both the run and pass game, and Jacobs is almost a guaranteed 6 inside the 5 yard line.
Sproles had a great season, but he has to share the ball with L.T. who is healthy and will be demanding the football, Bradshaw may turn out to be a pretty good fantasy back but I would still rather have Jacobs and/or Westbrook.
Your team is pretty solid as is, ultimaltey its your call though.
Hope whatever you decide pans out.:salute:

I have to agree with Hunt, I cannot stress this enough, I would not trade Westbrook alone for both of them. Jacobs is also a solid starter. Do yourself a favor and keep Westbrook and Jacobs. if you have to trade one of hem trade Jacobs. Westbrook is an elite RB in the NFL

its not so much sproles and bradshaw im looking at, I'm looking more at being able to upgrade the position with chris johnson but I'm not sold on johnson completely with lendale white stealing his TDs, the main point of the trade is to get houshmanzadeh off my bench and on my roster. I'm not too sure I'd rather have chris johnson over jacobs and westbrook.

Westbrooks injuries worry me also I'm concerned that McCoy will steal his carries.

No way. You've already got 3 starting RB's in Jacobs, Jones-Drew and Westbrook. That means you'd be trading 2 starting RB's for 1 Starter and 2 backups. You're fine the way you are.

I'll agree with everyone else.
DON'T DO IT!!!
None of those scenarios benefit you more than what you have now.
Now, a Chris Johnson for Houshmanzadeh straight-up might be worth pursuing, but not as it stands now with having to throw Jacobs in there too.

Whatever you do, don't give up MJD for any reason he'll be the #3 Fantasy RB this year I promise!

being a little blunt here.
Are you stupid?
he could take westy and mjd from you or mjd and 85 or tj....
Chris johnson is good.
Bradshaw is a backup and will get less the westbrook in every category.
Sproles is the most overrated back in the league. I can not believe the hype this guy gets.
He is only ever used on screen plays or spread formation draws. He cant run between the tackles and once defenses see that he is in the game its either a draw or a screen to him....Easy enough to shut down.
You do not make this trade by anymeans!!!!

Well I told him two rb/wr within reason meaning not anything ridiculous but the main point was trying to get housh off my bench but from the looks of it I'm not going through with the trade.

From everything I am hearing Housh is better as a week to week match-up, or bye fill in type guy anyway.

You're a fool if you pull off that trade for ANY 2 RB's. Good luck with that.
