Just wanted to know what schemes/changes fits best for you guys using the Broncos. Personnally, I was not doing well using the 3-4/Denver defense playbook so switched to the Balance playbook and made some changes.
For the 4-3, I did the following:
1. Ayers at RE and Doom at LE
2. Moss at LOLB, Williams at ROLB and Davis at MLB
3. Fields and Baker at DT
4. Dawkins at SS and been trying out Hill, McBath and Barrett. Barrett has worked out pretty well for me ie tackles pretty well and McBath catches some picks from time to time and Hill is usually pretty good in pass coverage but not so much in run (BCV is really low)
I know Moss at LOLB is highly questionable. But I tend to play zone in the formation and less man. Moss is pretty tall so he knock down passes frequently and he is not too slow.
For the 3-4,
1. I use Peterson and Doom and the ends.
2. Ayers at ROLB, Williams and Davis at MLB and Moss at LOLB
3. Fields at DT
4. Safty same as above
For Nickel, Dollar and Quarter
1. I sub fast def ends doom and ayers
For offense, I tried Simms and was pleasantly surprised. I just cant lead the WRs much cause he would over throw but if you just throw it to the WR most times it put there as he has more zip on the ball.
Some things that I find really annoying in the game are:
1. The fatigue factor is just ridiculous. I dont run a no huddle offense at all but the players get really tired fast and alot of times late in the 4th qtr when i need them most. sometimes they are so tired they not in game. These are professionals and they shouldnt tire out so fast.
2. Holding penalties on field goals.
3. Players have to gather themselves on simple run and screen plays which allows the defense to make the tackle and blow up the play.
4. They not giving our Oline any justice in the run game at all.
Sorry had to vent a little. Overall the game is awesome and I will say i am really enjoying it. I hope they show us some love on the next roster update. I may have to do more tweeking based on the results. I just noticed that Ayers and Doom overall ranking are in the 80's and the defensive end position so i had to try this scheme out.
