Love em' or hate em' the Yankees are an indelible part of American history. Tonight we saw another chapter added to that famed history: Derek Jeter has become the all time hits leader for the New York Yankees.
Seemingly from the time we are old enough to put on a glove we are familiar with names like Ruth, Gherig, Dimaggio, and Mantle. I think when my son grows up to have a catch with his son, in his own backyard, the name Jeter will be on that list.
Congrats to a guy who has always played the game right and gave his all for his team. Derek Jeter I :salute: you
