Which game do you like best?
ESPN NFL 2K5: $15.99-$24.95
Madden NFL 2005: $49.99-$54.95 (rip off)

Madden NFL 2005 is the game for me simply because I like the gameplay. ESPN NFL 2K5, I couldn't stand how the gameplay played. For the time I had it I just felt like I didn't have enough control of most of the assignments on the field. Plus I couldn't stand looking at the Player Models anymore. To me they was horrifying. The Player Models was the only downfall on the graphics I could see on ESPN NFL 2K5 though. The Players on Madden NFL 2005 looked more realistic to me.

Anyway, I traded in ESPN NFL 2K5 and paid an extra $9.21 for a used PlayStation2 8MB Memory Card. And to tell you the truth, I have no regrets. Basically that sums it up on how I felt about ESPN NFL 2K5.

one of the things i couldnt stand about espn is when they showed the 2 players on the bench talking.it was so fake.

Madden2005 for $50 is a rip off. Tiburon didn't put enough new stuff to warrent a price of $50. ESPN NFL 2K5 for the Xbox on the other hand was worth way more than the $20 price tag.

Broncos28 you actually need to put the pipe down ......really. Everybody but you said that ESPN was the better looking game. Heck even EA would give that one up. ESPN is the best looking football game period.

Storyline central can't even compare to ESPN's Sportscenter shows w/ Chris Berman (Weekly game recaps), Trey Wingo (injuries and team transactions segments)and Mel Kiper Jr (draft perview and review segments). The halftime and Postgame replays in ESPN 2k5 can't be touched by Madden2005. Weekly prep makes ESPN's franchise deeper and more relevant to the development of your players from week to week than Owners mode in Madden. You may be able to get draft picks from their NCAA game but all our rookies have actual faces and not the silhouettes Madden has. ESPN has Custom stadium music and Player celebrations. When you get a firstdown or TD or what have you and your favorite music plays its like nothing else compares. The gameplay in Madden can't even compare to ESPN's. ESPN tighten up their passing and IMO I didn't think there was anymore they could do it. The running game is light years ahead of Madden's. You have a more realistic way to break tackles in ESPN. Not only can you break them with the now standard Jukes, Spins, Stiff arms and shoulder charges you can also break them just by tapping your turbo button. ESPN has the best Passing, Catching, Blocking, Running and tackling animations of any game out. The 2 or 3 player gang tackles in ESPN can't be matched by Madden. The fan and injury cut-scenes in ESPN can't be touched by Madden either not by a long shot.

Madden should've been the game priced $20 when ESPN should've been $50.

Players always talk on the bench... Did you ever see Shannon and Clinton? They were always blabbin' off about something.

I haven't even played the Franchise yet simply for the fact they haven't updated the roster. I'm waiting on that. So I haven't even paid attention to everything that Madden NFL 2005 has to offer. If you want to go play your sorry ass ESPN NFL 2K5 then go ahead. It depends on what you prefer. I prefer Madden NFL 2005. So ****! TO ME YOU IDIOT THE PLAYERS ON ESPN NFL 2K5 LOOKS UGLY! They may look nice to you, great, but not to me so kiss my ass you Bastard. And that was the only thing I thought that sucked about the graphics on ESPN NFL 2K5.

Just 'cause someone doesn't like your game you got to be all over them. Stop being a damn Baby and play your damn game. Who gives a flyin' funk what they think about it. All that matters is if you like it. Stop being stupid and stop criticizing what other People like just because you don't like it.

Give you a thank you card? GO GET A CLUE! If you gonna say something smart I'm gonna tell you somethin' you not gonna like. If you don't like my New York attitude, go cry in your little Civic.

I didn't even come on here and said anything about sportsgeist or you. But both of y'all gonna start some BS off of my opinions. Y'all the ones who's ignorant and being stupid on starting something in the first place.

If you like ESPN NFL 2K5 than Madden NFL 2005 then more power to you. Just play what you prefer. Stop crying about what someone said about the game you like. Just play it if you like it.

There it is. I don't play a football game for the halftime shows, post game interviews and customized celebrations. I play because the gameplay is solid.

That brings me to another point. With all of the extra bells and whistles that ESPN has (along with the $20 price tag) it makes me think that ESPN is more for the causual gamer. For the truly hardcore, there is only one title that satisfies and that is Madden. The game is so tight, it makes me drop 50 bucks for it without hesitation.

ESPN only has Madden beaten in one area IMO (graphics). Other than that, Madden is still the king of the hill. You gotta give it up for the most consistent.

Well I don't mind ESPN. I got it this year as something different and I have not beed dissapointed. The controls don't vary too much from Madden. I like the celebrations and the QB avoid stick.

The crib feature is something different than the last few years of Madden cards. Not to say next year I won't go back to Madden or try another game if someting better comes out.

As stated here many times , it if what you personally like.
