Is it me....... or is the difficulty between these way too big, i mean.......dang......when i went from rookie to pro it wasnt too bad, like i did it right after i got the game (played rookie so i could firs figure out controls......this was back in 2004) but for 2005 i switched to all pro cuz i was scoring 80+ points on pro, but on all pro, i jus threw four interceptions, an half the time i cant make it outta the back field when i run.......any ideas why?

I started on pro then i swithched right over to all pro and you just have to use crossing patterns. its hard not moving the ball with the long pass but it works with crossing patterns. On third down i go out of a shotgun form with the running back on my side and i use the play action pass where the most-in WR runs a cross and is usually open on all pro.i run using a strong i formation twins and i run it to the tight end sie. i average over two hundred yards a game rushing but about 184 yards passing.

Screens usually work pretty well too, I have discovered.

I have been playing Madden since it first came out....almost ten years ago?

I started '05 on All Pro and I am ready for All Madden. Playing it for so long, you tend to notice the similarities from year to year. I have figured out alot of reliable techniques to the game. If you guys want any tips, let me know.

To answer the origianl question: there is no particular reason that the skill jump is so much more difficult to handle. Just stick to your gameplan, don't do stupid stuff, (like go for it on every fourth down) play solid defense and play a heady football game. Be a coach and a player. Give your team the best opportunities for success. Put them in the situations that will benefit them. Try to always get good field positions, mix up your palybook, keep the defense off balance, realize when you should lean on certain players and certain gameplans, bench a player if you need to.

Be cerebral.

I found it easiest to either start on All-Pro or All-Madden...I am now playing on Hiesman for NCAA 05 and I am still winning..Sorta..LOL..I am in my 3rd season and I won the Rose Bowl my first year against Michigan 16-10, and then I won the AutoTrader Bowl or something like that, after I went 8-3 on Hiesman...And now I just won my 4th game, and am 3-1, in my 3rd season...
