View Full Version : What Kind of Fantasy Content Should We Have on DenverBroncos.com?

Looking for suggestions here. Last year, we did a weekly fantasy article and offered a salary cap style fantasy game through the siite. We're looking to expand our fantasy content this season, but are curious to see what actual fantasy players might want to see. How about it, folks?

I think if you could possibly list the NFL weekly injury status charts (ie out, probable, etc) when they are released on Thursdays.
How about linking with some of the fantasy sites around and posting updates on players, or atleast Bronco players.
I will think of more later.

I'm not sure how firm your connection to NFL.com is, but they usually run leagues through their affiliate (Sportsline.com)
Of course, since we'd all pick the same Bronco players it'd be tough to get competition going amongst board members, unless it's run on whatifsports.com, which lets you put together players from any team, any year.

The salary-cap game we ran last year (and will probably run again this year) ultimately comes from SportsLine through NFL.com. In that type of game, everyone can conceivably pick the exact same players or close to it. Check it out this season -- it's only a week-to-week commitment.

How about a "Sleeper" pick of the week, or a "Who's Hot, Who's Not" segment?

I always liked the sudden death fantasy pools. Pick one team a week to win, and you can never pick them again for the rest of the season and see who makes it the farthest. Just another idea to throw out there.

I do like that idea Elway. That is a simple thing to set up and one of us could run it here on the board. I would be willing to do it, but someone needs to remind me when we get closer to the start of the season.

I've done the type of league Elway is suggesting, and it is a lot of fun (unless you lose in the 1st week) to play.

I ran one a couple of seasons ago, it was funny we lost half the people the first week. There was an incredible upset, and they had all picked the same team that week thinking it was a sure thing.
It does get funny when you have to pick teams like the bears, bengals or seahawks near the end of the run. All it takes is one upset to knock you out. Whoever runs it, we PM him our picks at least a day in Advance. then before the game starts they post the list here for all so we know who picked who, and who is still in it, and who got knocked out that week.

Like I said I will run it, I just need a gentle reminder to get it going a week or tow before the season starts. I will probably remember, but just in case. LOL

Sounds good Bro1ncos, hopefully as the season gets closer more people will flock to the board to participate.

I like those ideas. have a sleepers of the week predictions and reasons why. And after the week, have a list of top busts for the week. Have a list of the top fantasy players from week to week with each position. keep us updated with injuries and news. It would also be awesome to have free fantasy football leagues if it were possible. Almost everything costs money now. The only site I know of that doesn't cost money is NFL.com. Does anyone know any others??? E-Mail me.
