Close games or blow outs?

When playing Madden do you prefer to win 70-0 or 21-18?

I just dont enjoy big blowouts, in a season its great a couple of times when you thrash an opponent, 41-14 or 31-3 or similar but week in week out I get bored with racking up points, Ive noticed a few people here talking about passing for 5-6000+ yards and 3000 rushing etc but that bores me to death!

What do you all like?

close, realistic games or unrealistic blowouts?

I prefer close games but hate giving up 18 points, right now my average points against is 6.5 through 4 games of year two.

i prefer close games thru the season i like some on sided ones here and there

i like close games but like blowing out rivals of course cause chiefs suck

I hate playing and being up by 30 points and all of a sudden you could have 500 men on defense and they still manage to score on you!!!

Yeah I know, I caould only give up 50 yds the 1st 3 quarters and then suddenly they would explode for 200 in the 4th quarter

I havent bought 2005 yet not even sure it is out yet??? But I thought 2004 was the best that has ever been out so far. I have heard that NCAA 2005 your players transfer from schools if they dont get enough playing time. That seems pretty cool.

Ahh 2005 is better than 2004, the hit stick is a nice addition as well storyline central actually makes it feel as if you are the owner, with the newspaper and emails and players actually getting p*ssed if the dont get to play.
The player models are also improved as well as the draft and now during the super bowl there is the tunnel entrances for you team and after the game there is actual celebrations, fireworks and confetee

Close games by far. They are just more fun to play. I would rather lose 10-13 then win 56-21

I'm loving the close games I'm having in Madden. I've lost only once in 8 games and that was a 4 point defeat by the Bucs. I boosted the difficulty up to All-Madden after playing to the third game on All-pro but it was too easy. All-Madden is tough, but I'm getting so much better and more efficient in my offense and defense.

Close games... I love last second field goals or hell being down by 14 in the beginning of the 4th and coming back-tieing it up and winning it in OT...

Definitely close games. Having to make a last minute drive to win or defend a last minute drive by them gets my adrenaline going. Of course I get way more pissed off when I lose those but yeah, winning 52-3 gets boring. I like a mix. I'll take a couple blowouts to pad stats, a few last minute nail biters and a few where it's somewhat close but I win by 24-14 or something like that.

i like the close games too. i played 1st season on pro and pretty much had my way with it. my second season i put it on all-pro and i beat the dolphins 24-17, chiefs 31-24, and the ravens 31-10. running the ball is a lot harder. i use bell and had 50 some yds against the fish, 70 some against the chiefs, and i finally broke over 100 against the ravens(137 yds). on the pro setting i had 400 yds in one game. it was against san diego. the more realistic the better. i also like using the short passing routes with going deep occasionally.

I like close games. I went 18-2 in my first season and won the superbowl easily. So I put in on all madden and im 6-5 right now and won 2 of those games in overtime. Thats more OT games I than I ever played on madden 2004 on all pro. And I Havent blown out one team yet.
