So far the Yanks are looking to even out the series, if they can hold on beyond the 5th inning.

It's over now. I HATE THE YANKEES!! The Marlins better lay down the law, because I don't want to see the Yankees win ANOTHER championship!
The sad thing is that I really had my heart set on a Cubs-Sox World Series, and NEITHER team made it. I doubt I will even watch the World Series now. I will check the scores (to make sure the Yankees lose), but I really have little interest in it now.

I went the other way, I think it is great that Boston & Chicago can still moan about their respective curses.
When you think cubs - you think lovable losers
and when you think Red Sox - Curse of the Bambino rules.

Ditto on the 90's Bulls, too. MJ was good, but I could never bring myself to liking the Bulls. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that I grew up in Utah (reason I am a Bronco fan) and I watched the Bulls beat my Jazz in the NBA Finals. MJ's little hand thing when he made that game-winning shot over Russell just drove me nuts!!

Or maybe it had something to do with the fact that Jordan was great, but too proud and boa****l for most people. He is gregarious, but he went out of his way throughout his career to embarrass people on the court. I think that is why Bird is disliked too. He could be such a jerk at times, ya know? Not that being nice is required, but how about just doing your damn job and getting back into transition D when a play is over, and keeping your damn mouth shut.
I am sorry, I have a thing against smack talking during games. To me, its means you are concentrating on what you are saying, not the game you are playing.
