With T.Rattay a game-time decision Sunday night, it looks like I have to start someone else at QB this week, just to make sure I don't get stuck with K.Dorsey. There are 4 candidates to choose from: J.McCown @Buf, K.Collins @SD, K.Warner @Min, and V.Testaverde vs Det at home. I've ruled out McCown (Buffalo D and weather) and K.Collins (SD D and Collins' inconsistency on the road).

So it comes down to:

K.Warner @ Minn--on the road, but will probably have to pass a lot to keep up with high-powered Minny offense; may be without a starting O-lineman, but A.Toomer says he will play.

V.Testaverde vs Det--at home, but will be without T.Glenn (gone for the year) and probably Q.Morgan and facing a tough Detroit pass rush without much of a running game.

Which one would you recommend that I start?

I would be most grateful for any thoughts, advice or suggestions that you might offer. Thanks!

Testerverde did fine without Glenn last week. The person I was playing had him and I was actually getting scared because he was throwing the ball effectively, just not into the end zone. The only difference I see between starting Warner or Testerverde is that Testerverde will actually try to throw the deep ball a couple of times a game. I don't see Warner trying to bomb it out, despite the fact he should against the Vikings. The Lions actually give up a lot of yards through the air too. Here are two factors that might help you decide who to start. The Giants have run the ball effectively all year, and will continue to do so today vs the Vikings. The Cowboys on the other hand have no running game whatsoever . . .so Testerverde will have to throw the ball to someone. Do you have any other options at QB? Someone off the waiver wire with a better matchup?

Go with Warner. Vinny is terrible plus Glenn and Morgan are out.
