auburn...auburn has played more tougher opponents and has beat them with flying colors...ou on the other hand has not played tough opponents and has almost got beat by them ...TEXAS 12-0 (texas almost lost to a 2-7 kansas team)..texas a&m who has a terrible defense...ou's d is the most overrated d in the nation...and auburn should be 2

looking at teams theyve beaten right now, maybe auburn should get the nod. But i guarantee you that OU can beat any team in college football. Close games build character. If Auburn got behind early (as they would in a BCS bowl), they would have no idea what to do. They would have to abandon Cadillac, and they would fail miserably. OU knows what to do though. It just sucks that this argument has to take place. Playoffs baby, playoffs. not a top 24 playoff system, but just top 8 or even top 4. with a top 4 system, just add another game a week after the top 2 bowls. Bowl system remains, you just add one a week later that determines the national championship. (winners of top 2 bowls play). I think an 8 team playoff system would work better, but a 4 team system is more realistic.

yea thats what everyone said when a 5'7 running back tore them up with 200+ rushing yards and 3 tds...and then a true freshman running back ran all over them last year in back to back games...until they prove they can beat lsu and usc you cant say that...

Funny how you say that OU hasn't played anybody. Looking at the strength of schedule, you would have to say the same, and MORESO, about Auburn AND USC.
OU is like 12th in the nation, while USC and Auburn are 35-37.

You OU haters make me giggle.*giggle*

C'mon, westie, just admit you're jealous of OU's success since 2000.

Definitely Auburn.
They've played 3 teams that were in the top ten at the time of playing them.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma plays in what's basically the weakest major conference around, at least this year.
If Auburn stays undefeated, that means they will beat Alabama, and Georgia again in which case i think they need to be given the nod above Oklahoma.

I didn't think I'd ever be happey to see OU #2, but then again, if NU can celebrate a field goal, anything's possible.

ok, against k-state in the big12 championship game, sooners had scored a td early in the game and were driving when jason white hit his hand on the top of a wildcats player and broke multiple bones in his throwing hand. Yes, we did poorly after that. And yes, LSU healthy was slightly better than OU without their HEISMAN WINNING QUARTERBACK! and as to UT upsetting auburn, never gonna happen. Ainge is out, their mobile QB is out, theyre now on Rick Clausen, their 3rd string QB. Trust me, its not gonna happen

btw, VOLS SUCK!

The Auburn Tigers should be ranked as the number one team in the Country because they play in the SEC, the toughest Conference in the Country and they have been consistent in every game they have played. Plus they have played the hardest Schedule between the two.

The Oklahoma Sooners should be the number two rank team in the Country because they play a tougher Schedule than USC and they play probably in the second hardest Conference in the Country, the Big XII.

The USC Trojans should be number three because they play in the sorriest Conference, the Pac 10. Between the top six Conferences in the Nation, the Pac 10 is the worst. The only good team they have beaten was the California Golden Bears.

I want to see the Oklahoma Sooners and the Auburn Tigers go at in the Orange Bowl for the National Championship.

Okay let me rephrase my statement the Big East is the worst Conference now between the six major Conferences but the Pac 10 is right next to the Big East. In the last 15 years you guys can agree the Pac 10 has always sucked.

Anyway, I still want to see Auburn and Oklahoma go at it because I hate the USC Trojans and every single California team Pro or College.

Yea, they already have pitt, nd, uconn, st. johns, syracuse, providence, villanova, boston college, georgetown, and seton hall.
and they are gonna add Louisville, Marquette, Cincinatti, and Depaul
it's gonna be a nasty conference.

i cant believe the big east raided C-USA and dfidnt take Memphis! We now have an automatic NCAA tourbney bid essentially and will go undefeated for many seasons in football. Why would anyone take depaul over memphis? Wawtch it guys, this bball season, the memphis tigers in the elite eight, im callin it right now
