Who would you start this week:

Portis vs Eagles
McGahee vs Rams

Also, would you risk starting Horn (gotta be matched against Champ this week)?

I don't know about horn..i guess it depends on who else you got.

I think i'd lean towards starting McGahee.

Both the Eagles & Rams D's are pretty weak against the run, but McGahee looks like a stronger start than Portis IMO™

Yeah, I have to agree that Portis hasn't looked so great. If they had a better passing game then I'd play him.

Jersey, I have Horn, Harrison, and Johnson (Houston). Harrison will start, but I'm not sure if I should go with Horn or Johnson. Horn has been hot and Johnson hasn't.

True...I have Johnson on two of my teams...I think i'd start him since i believe he's going against the packers.
Horn's gotta go up against Bailey, like you mentioned, so i'd go with Johnson

I'd have to go with Portis he's been getting red hot the last couple of weeks.

I would go with McGahee.

He's playing at home--the Bills are a different team at home than they are on the road. After last Sunday night's debacle, the Bills will NOT put the ballgame in D.Bledsoe's hands unless they absolutely have to--so McGahee will get the ball early and often (their coaching staff was heavily criticized locally for not sticking with the running game against NE when they were 6-16 points behind last week and the criticism stuck because Bledsoe was so bad). The weather will not be good, which should limit the passing game also. St.Louis' defense has not been good against the run and, while the Bills' O-line hasn't been good against decent defensive lines, they have done reasonably well against weaker run defenses.

The Philly defense hasn't been good against the run, but has undergone some personnel changes since the Pitt game that are designed to rectify that to a certain extent. Even though Portis is at home and Ramsey isn't as bad as some people may think, he hasn't proven that he can burn a defense if it stacks up to stop the run yet. And, as long as defenses can stack up against the run without paying a price for doing so, Portis' numbers aren't going to be that great. While Ramsey could burn the Philly D enough to make life easier for Portis in the future, I don't think that it will be this week.

So, I would go with McGahee this week. But, I would keep a close eye on how P.Ramsey does over the next couple of weeks because I do think that he will be much more able to force teams to back off from focusing on Portis than Brunell could ever hope to be.

But, of course, that's just my opinion. Others may well disagree. Still, I hope it helps. Good Luck!

Would you please take a look at my threads, Who To Start--Week 11?
