exactly........the online coop for xbox is gonna be off the hook......
My god, the only thing on my mind is the new Zelda game. May be out this march, but Nintendo has it's lips sealed.

Fixed for accuracy
but back to the topic... i havent payed attention to gaming news in so long... i feel out of the loop :ugh:

I don't think it would be March, knowing Ninty it'll be November. Well, as long as Miyamoto's doing it, it'll be completely fantastic.
Apparently Mario 128 is still being developed for Cube, so we'll be seeing that this year too hopefully.
Actually, I can't wait for Fire Emblem either! I've fallen irreversibly in love with RPGs.
SC3 should be good too, the Splinter Cell games are quality.
And to Chupa, I'd love to see you complete most Nintendo games 100%. I know it's difficult for you to conceive a game which eschews guns, but it doesn't make them any less challenging. I don't see why you should feel ashamed to play and enjoy some of the best games ever made simply because you think they're 'kiddy'. In the end it's your loss.

The great irony is that as he calls Nintendo games kiddy and simple he goes on to have a homage to Halo 2 in his sig. Which is, of course, a mind-numbingly simple game that can be beaten in a few sittings.
But back to topic, Muse: I'm kind of worried that they will try to make it too dark and resident evil-ish and ruin the whole zelda feel. There had better be a clock town type village.
I hope it's similar to Hyrule. It should be because I guess it is a tradition to have a dark/light patches on the hub.

I'm pretty sure the game does take place in hyrule (wonder how all the villagers and Zelda will look with the new graphics...?) hopefully they don't do something stupid and have everyone dead or something. This is going to be the first zelda game with a T rating, which is odd. Also, I wonder what the hook will be. Majora's Mask had the masks, wind waker had the sailing...
Well, it's going to be a very horse-based game. What they'll have, well, can't wait to find out.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of horse back combat in the video, but hopefully they don't turn them into mini-game type missions like in that waste of my money Starfox Adventures.
SFA was poor. Nice graphics but boring. Lucky Rare went to Microsoft, they were really getting bad. What do you think of Geist? I think it looks ace at the moment, should be a top game. It's actually doing something different for the FPS genre.

Haven't heard much about it, all I know is that it is a FPS where you are trying to find out who killed you... or something... and you possess people. Sounds cool enough, but we'll see if they make it work. The new RE looks kick-ass too.
Can't wait, RE4 looks absolute class. 10 days to go :D
So many decent games...I hope that Skies of Arcadia 2 and Tales of LEgendia arrive soon. I'm also hoping for another Silicon Knights game, but they're doing work for the Ninty Revolution or so I hear.

According to Famicom magazine (which is usually right) the Revolution's controllers won't have A or B buttons, nor will they have a directional pad. Kind of scary, you have to wonder what Nintendo is doing. Though every time I think they are about to do something stupid recently (wind waker, the DS) it turns out to be awesome. So we'll see. I never played Skies if Arcadia, hard to find. Is tales of Legendia a sequel to Tales of Symphonia? Which was an awesome game too. But gamecube sucks though, because we don't get 9 hours of riveting Halo gameplay.
Yeah ToL is the same series but not necessarily a sequel. SoA is sooo good! Took me 75 hours to complete but I loved every second! Sheer brilliance. ToS lasted me 45hours on the first trip, I'm playing it again. I'm glad that I can play NTSC games on my Cube. It takes anything from 1month to 2 years to get the games out in Europe. :coffee:
I'm also getting really into Baten Kaitos. Been spoilt for RPGs these last 6 months.

Baten Kaitos is very good, a little intimidating at first until you figure out the combat system, but a fantastic game none-the-less.
Yeah, the card system's a bit daunting at first, but brilliant once you master it. Lush visuals too to complete the it. Shame about some of the voice acting.

I played Skies of Arcadia for the Dreamcast when it was out. I loved that game because of the battle system, characters, and the atmosphere of the world that they were in. I know they made new changes and additions for the GC version, so if you ever get your hands on it, you're in for a treat.
I'm always up for playing a good RPG. Was Tales of Symphonia that good? It was gonna be released for the PS2, but that may only be for Japan. Just curious.

As far as I am concerned, ToS is right up there with Chrono Trigger.

Whee, a third installment of the epic struggles of a man hiding in a dark corner and every so often coming out to strangle someone. I mean, whenever you are in an actual bright area you usually have to shoot out the lights anyways. *yawn*

Do you have to bash everygame you don't like? Or maybe you just enjoy disagreeing with everyone else? Just wondering.

Did I ever say that it was wrong to have your own opinions? No. I just wanted to know why you BASHED games or people who like certain games. I'm not trying to be a jackass, so I don't know why you're acting like one.

He said he liked Splinter Cell, I happen to have a different opinion. You'd enjoy communism.

You are so right westy..........IMO the splinter cell series is the best those games require you to think and develop a strategy maybe thats why I like em .......The typical gamer does not want to think when they play......Not to mention ubi knows how to make great games for xbox........

The PS2 ToS has encountered a few problems. While the GC version runs at 60fps constant, the PS2 version runs at 30fps, although some have found it to drop as low as 20fps. If you have a Cube, buy ToS for it.

I did a little research after I posted that. The chances of ToS coming out in America for the PS2 are slim and none and slim just left the building. I don't have a Cube, but considering how cheap it is, it probably wouldn't hurt to buy it (especially if I could find it used).
I don't know if I can justify buying a system just to play one game, but I really like RPGs (especially high quality ones). In any event, thanks for your thoughts.
ToS
Baten Kaitos
Zelda
RE4 (been developed on Cube and will prolly play better on Cube than PS2)
Among the reasons to buy one.

You will also have to wait upwards of 9 months longer for the PS2 version of RE4. But don't forget Games like Metroid Prime and it's sequel Metroid Prime: Echos, or Mario Sunshine, not to mention the up coming mario 128, a true sequel to Mario 64. Other fantastic titles and my personal favorite (next to Zelda, zelda > everything) would be Pikmin and Pikmin 2, contstantly overlooked, but they are made by miyamoto and kick just as much ass as all his other games.
Other games that kick ass:
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
Eternal Darkness
Star Wars Rogue Leader
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life
Animal Crossing (don't diss it till you've tried it)
Man, check out the Zelda trailer... http://media.cube.ign.com/media/572/572738/vids_1.html
It's a very underrated console but still has a solid fanbase. Lots of good games on it, well worth the price.

VERY underated, idiots are ruining the gaming market by continuing to buy awful games, (read: All that 3rd party PS2 filler). Heh, read this: http://gc.advancedmn.com/article.php?artid=4035
