Does anyone watch this show? I find it really interesting and different. If you watch it, do you have any theories or ideas on what is going on?

What's with the airplane?
Who hit Sayeed over the head before he made the transmission?
Is that Emilia Arehardts (sp?) airplane that Locke found?
Where did the polar bears disappear to?
What's with Ethan?
What's with Claire's baby?
Is there a play on John Locke's name, ie. the philosopher?

I am sure that there are other things going on too, this is just to start a discussion.

I love the show, I missed a couple of episodes in the middle, but caught the one last week. I'm not gonna get into my theories though...I'll just say this, they better show that monster on Wednesda, although I think they won't and leave another cliffhanger for next week.

It does seem like it's time to start getting SOME of the answers though. I was glad to see (finally) what Kate was in trouble for. But it's time for a few answers to the island though.

Love tha show!

Anyone watch it last night? I guess that the island really is just some mythical place the helps people with their toubles lol. The show is getting on my nerves though, it just takes them so long to do anything. I mean they found that hatch thing like 2 or 3 weeks ago, and we still dont know what it is.

I went to a hockey game last night and programed my VCR to record it, but I forgot about it before I left and turned my cable box on before I left so I recorded two hours of nothing (I wanted to see Alias too)

Actually I thought that it was a great episode. One of the best so far. The character interaction was really cool. It also set up some interesting possibilities.

Of course, the questions are driving me nuts! But that only makes me want more. So the creators are doing a good job.

What is under the hatch?
Is there really a monster, or is it symbollic of their fear?
What is Locke's agenda?
Where the heck is Claire?

I watched it for the first time last night. Mainly because Smallville was a rerun, which I don't get...

But yeah, I've heard about the show and such, and don't know anything about it. I watched some thing about it and I was curious. I was thinking that they probably will wait until the last possible period of time to show that "monster" or whatever because I'm willing to bet that it's one of the main reasons people watch the show. And if they reveal it, where is the mystery factor? And another thing, if the graphics and special effects suck and it turns out to look like some thing from the Sci-Fi channel, the show will die quickly. There's nothing I hate more than fake...grrr. At least make it look half-way decent.

But anyway, the other factor is the mystery behind all the people. I am truly "LOST" because I've only seen one episode...hehehe. However, it seems like a show you can just figure out after a while...because to me it seems like they took all these reality shows (Survivor) and made it into a real show. Maybe they finally realized that reality shows aren't really reality and people embrace fiction more than um....well, fiction that tries to look like reality.

I'm mostly just rambling. I think it's most interesting how different Dominique looks from when he was a little Hobbit hahahaha. He actually looks like he can kick the crap out of someone.

Okay, after last nights episode, this question comes to mind.

Who is everybody's favorite character?

I know that Jack is supposed to be the main protagonist, but I cannot help but like Locke more and more every episode, the guy is awesome. I really liked him after they revealed that he was wheel-chair bound before the wreck. He seems to be there to provide people with the means to transform their lives. He got Dominic to quit drugs, Jack to kinda put the issues with his father to rest, and now to get the one guy (name?) to kinda let go of his step-sister.

I thought last night's episode was great, but like everyone else, I'm wanting to see the monster as well as what is in the hatch, but I guess that's what keeps me coming back week after week.

i quit watching the show after a guy shot a bear and instead of congratulating him some woman just took the gun and scolded him for having it. the anti-gun message was just too much. if he had shot her after she complained about the gun, then i would have been a lifelong fan.

I moved from Colorado to Vegas when I was 10 so I have lived here awhile. There are a lot of job opportunities out here, but it depends on what you do. I work for a law firm.

It is still a fun place to live. Always something to do and close enough to California and Utah so you can ski or go to the beach.

This town is growing like crazy too.

With "Lost" you never know what's going to happen.

Well, if you get permission from the judge then you can move out here and she will just have to deal.

yeah, I've been in Vegas during the winter, and you're right...it was cold! Nothing like up here, but we needed sweater & pants. The ex & I are on good terms we decided this without a judge, she lives on a little island in southwest Alaska, it's in north pacific. She's lived out there for the past 4-5 years.

I wonder which island is bigger, the island from the show Lost or the island my kids live on??? Syeed or anyone else haven't made it around the island, have they?

When we first seperated, it was ugly...we've put all that behind us now, and we're all better...I've talked about moving to Vegas or LA with my daughter, now my son is gonna be living with me too, so that changes things, since he's not my biological son...I'm not sure how his other dad would feel about the move. I'll have to get both of their approval before moving, There'd have to be great schools & neighborhoods out there for it to work though.

Yeah, I remeber when Syeed got caught, I think I missed the two episodes after that, I wasn't sure if he attempted again, I wonder if they're gonna try to map the island again. What will they find on the other side???

Didn't this Claire person show up last night? I gathered from last week (being that that's the only episode I've seen) that they couldn't find her for like the longest time...isn't that who Locke and that other fella found last night?

And what was that white thing attacking the guy and his son? A polar bear? I heard about polar bears....I have no idea what's going on. I take it they still haven't shown the "monster" thing eh?

Yeah, Claire was kidnapped a few episodes ago and returned last night. I am not sure how long she was gone. My guess would be 1-2 weeks. She was pregnant, my question is is she still pregnant or did her kidnappers take the baby.

It was a polar bear that was attacking. Not sure what a polar bear is doing on a tropical island though. Did you notice that there was a polar bear in that comic book though? That was interesting. The one with the alien and the island. Hmmm...coincidence?

That guy was trippin' on the stuff Locke gave him. You will notice though, that he did not see it kill his sister, he just found her dead. The monster might be real, others have heard it. But none have seen it. Besides it makes for better suspense leaving it behind the scenes. People can imagine much more horrible monsters than shows can create. It is a useful tool, IMO.

That's my thought as well, on the monster deal. If they revealed it I'll bet their rating would fall considerably. Because their special effects and all that will likely not be good enough to make a convincing looking creature that will continue to captivate. Being that it's on TV I wouldn't expect anything less than what you see on Sci-Fi all the time, and those are rediculous.

Big Buck 1981

For those who didn't see the earlier episodes, Sawyer already killed a polar bear on that island with a handgun he had found. Locke saw it. Remember?

I, for one, wouldn't mind watching the rerun with the French woman again. She gave Sayid a warning before he left, but I don't remember what it was. Something about watching people in his group turning on each other or something like that.

Anyway, last night's episode was pretty subpar. Michael and Walt just aren't strong enough characters IMO. But Locke still remains the most mysterious and interesting character on that show. What the hell is he up to?

The little girl was watching the show and I swear I seen him getting into a car. I think it's wierd how some of their lives have crossed paths sortof. Like how Sawyer drank at the bar with Jack's dad. I'm sure there's been others but I havne't seen every episode. that's cute how Syid hooks up with high maintence chick (I can't remember her name) and how about the boy starting the raft on fire, how wierd was that???

near the end of the episode locke asked the little kid why he burnt the boat, he told him not to worry, that he wouldn't tell. The kid said he's tired of moving and liked it on the island, locke said he liked it their too.

I think Sun is hot too, not as hot as Kate, but I would go with her over Shannon.

I may have misunderstood, but I think Jin turned his back on Sun because of what he did, more than what she did (I hope that made sense). I liked the way Jin acted yesterday because you can tell he's still extremely tortured. He can't "start over" like Sun wants to because he has already crossed a line by doing unspeakable things for Sun's father. The only way he could go back is to tell Sun how vicious her father really is, and he doesn't want to do that because Sun thinks highly of her father (my assumption).

Scoff is you want, but when the raft was on fire, I originally thought that Walt torched it. But when he tried to put out the fire and then offered to help his dad build another one, I thought it had to be one of the island's original habitats. Slowly but surely, Locke is pulling more and more people on his side (those who want to stay on the island), at least that's the way I see it.

So the people who grabbed the kid, must be the people that the French woman was warning them about. What's the deal with them wanting kids & babies??? There's gotta be a reason for that, hopefully it'll be reveiled next season. How are the dudes who were on the raft gonna get back to the island? How far down does that entrance from the hatch go and what's down there? these are all just questions that hopefully will be answered next season, but I doubt they all will be.

Well Danielle Rousseau was right when she said the others were after the child, she just grabbed the wrong child. So the others now have Walt, another question is if the Others had a boat all along why keeps them on the island?

The creature that grabbed lock... was it the puff of black smoke that they showed pop up and vanish like a spirit after they threw the dynamite after it.

Why didn't Danielle know about the hatch after 16 years on the island.

Keep an eye on the numbers they show up more than people realize, in the airport a group of soccer kids go by and they are wearing those same #

Body count so far. 1 Person died getting sucked in the plane, the federal agent died, Steve was killed by Ethan Rom (aka Otherman) , you had a girl die swimming, Boone died, and Artz went boom. So that is at least six dead since they landed on the island about a month ago.

Plus you still have the mysterious creatures on the island and the deal with the Polar Bear appearing while Walt was reading the comic book about one.

Lost: The Complete First Season is avalible for purchase on September 6. That's the day after Labor day, I've seen most of the episodes, but I'm gonna get the set anyway. I believe it has 6 discs, including all 24 episodes. Of course there'll be a bunch of extras including deleted scenes, commentarys, & other stuff. I'm not sure how much it's gonna sell for, but I'd imagine around $40-$50.

If you didn't get into the series when it started and didn't wanna jump on too late, now's your chance to make up for it. The new season starts on the 21st, which gives you two weeks to catch up.

What the hell did that guy in the stadium say to Jack? The fricken phone rang and i couldn't make it out.

The Walt thing was hella weird too. Still haven't heard about what happened to the other people on the raft.

Notice that everything in the hatch was really old? The record player, the exercise bike, the whole "lab" looked like it was from the '60's or '70's.

And what the hell did that guy inject himself with at the start of the show? Was it steriods or something to do with the "quarentined" sign?

So many new questions when we only get a couple old ones answered!!

Did Walt appear see through in the first shot, but then more solid the second shot? And why was he wet? He never was in the ocean. I tried using closed captioning on his whispers but it only said "indistinct whispers". Has anyone tried playing what he said backwords?

Did you catch the bad numbers on the vials of medicine the guy was taking?

Add all the numbers together and you get 108...the number clear on the graffiti wall.

Were is the guy (Desmond?) getting his supplies? Laundry machines looked pretty new.

Did anyone catch that Jack's wife/fiancee(?) hit and killed Shanon's father (Mr. Rutherford)?

The electricity! Where's this guy getting gasoline to run a generator?

This is a pretty cool show, but it's worse than a soap opera! At least on soaps, they actually answer questions eventually!

Anybody figure out where the Polar Bear came from? What this invisible monster is?

And these guys who took the kid? They didnt exactly have a large boat. They have to be somewhere close by.

Every time I watch this show, I come away with more questions then answers. I'd like SOME explanation to SOMETHING once in a while!

Personally, I think they are stuck on the back side of Kauai or something. They've supposedly searched the island, yet missed the french woman, AND this huge underground facility!

Or it could all be like Newhart. Just a dream of Jack's or someone's.

Well, I assumed the Polar Bears were part of the French chick's expedition.

The other's are definitely close by...but are they working with the new dude, Desmond?

I was thinking that it was some kind of alien experiment...but that is kind of shot.

Now I am leaning towards cloning tests. In the second episode the people are saying that not one brush or comb could be found.

Could there be a reactor (caused Jack's key to be pulled towards it)? That could be the electricity answer. Is it big enough to rip a plane in half though? Could that be the cause of the crash?

I completely agree.

This episode was average at best.

There was only about 2 minutes worth of new developments, the rest was spent on stuff we already know like Michael whining on the raft or Michael whining in a flashback. We get that Michael cares for his son and we get that his girlfriend basically took him. They didn't need to beat that into the ground yet again. It was just kind of a waste of time.

The computer and countdown thingy was pretty cool.

It showed the number 108

check this out.

4 + 8 + 15 + 16 + 23 + 42 = 108.

Hurley's/hatch numbers add up to 108.

Wonder what that's all about.

I was a little disappointed with this episode too.

Interesting to see Michael give Walt a polar bear stuffed animal...a link to the polar bears on the island?

Desmond thought the world had ended...is/was the island used for chem/bio testing?

Why did the others on the boat have guns and bombs, while the people at the end had primative looking weapons? Maybe they aren't the others either?

Next week looks pretty good though.

Apparently, (haven't been able to verify, though some are said to have themselves) that the shark had an octagon on it, the same kind of symbol all over the bunker.

I had it Tivo'd and went back. Sure enough, there's an octagon on the shark. It's on the right side near the back fin. On slo-mo you can tell it was placed via CGI (mostly because its so hard to find huge killer sharks with a natural octagon symbol these days...), but it was definitely there.

So much THERE there, in Lost episodes.

down in the hatch is like a control room of some sorts. they haven't shown the whole thing, there was a storage room down there with a bunch of food though, and all the electronics were really old.
the guys on the raft found pieces of the raft to float on and floated back to the island.
The guys on the boat came from the island I think they're with the people from down in the hatch. the inside of the hatch door said "quarintine" on it, it had numbers on the side of the hatch that Hurley remembered from being in a halfway house. There was a guy there who said the numbers over & over and they got stuck in his head... Hurley palyed them in the lotto when he got out and won millions. Jack had and encounter with Desmond the guy down in the hatch, years before in the real world and the guy said "see you in the next world".

I haven't seen any of the easter eggs in discussions yet, but I'm sure they're to follow.

I don't think the people that captured the trio (with Ana Lucia) are the Others. I think they are more of the crash survivors, from the back of the plane. They are much different than the bunch we know because they've probably had to deal with the REAL Others a lot. So, they are more militaristic and less trusting. After all, Ethan infiltrated our group so they are probably very leery of outsiders.

A shock for me was in the previews for last week and Jin spoke perfect English! What's up with that? I don't think he's always been able, as a friend of mine pointed out, there was a scene last season from his viewpoint and being inside his head other people's discussion was unintelligible. So, how did he change?

Too much information to take in.

My question, where the heck was Desmond running to? And how did he keep that food pantry so stacked if he had been there for so long and the other guy had been there longer than him?

The "other" group is not the others. They are the other survivors from the plane. They probably think that Sawyers group are the "others".

Does Jack irritate anyone besides me? I would have popped him in his mouth.

Jack tends to tick me off too. He's in a struggle for leadership of the group with Locke. Locke, while a little wierd at times, is my favorite character, mostly because he teaches every person there something. He taught Boone to quit obsessing over his step-sister, he taught Mike that not everyone is out to steal is son (which actually turns out to be a little false), and he's taught Jack that sometimes, when you don't have all the facts, you have to have a little faith.

Something tells me that the button and the 'electromagnetic' phenomenon have something to do with the 'living smoke' that was revealed at the end of last season.

Elway
10-10-2005, 12:46 AM
But Locke has also lied about things on the island, Such as what he saw on his hunting trip when he was about to get attacked by one of the island monsters.

He didn't admit about the hatch at first or how Boone was injured.

He doesn't say how he knows he wouldn't be harmed whan he was being sucked into the ground and they dropped the dynamite on the creature.

He didn't tell anyone about his legs, now being able to walk and how it is linked to the island, such as he was losing his legs again after what happened to Boone.

We know he hit Sayeed but was it ever adressed why, or why Sayeed didn't retaliate when he found out.

Why does he need to beleive so much in this "Destiny" of his?

Big Buck 1981

Why does he need to beleive so much in this "Destiny" of his?

On the things he 'lies' about, I think it's a "need to know" situation, where he doesn't believe they need to know, because he knows how they'll react, by getting all worked up and accomplishing nothing.

I also don't believe it was a creature pulling him down...a creature would have teeth or claws, and he didn't have any claw or bite marks after the incident. I think it is some kind of man-made security system, judging from the ratcheting noise when Locke was pulled through the forest to the hole.

He hit Sayeed and broke the radio because the message, which he apparently understood, kept repeating "They're dead, I killed them all", and who's going to respond to that?

His belief in his destiny is not unlike anyone's belief in their destiny...I think that most of us believe that we were destined to do good in this world, or to bring about change, and beliefs are not something that can just be changed...that's why they call it a belief.

(On a side note, you ever notice know when you say a word too many times, it loses it's meaning, that just happened to me with 'belief' :ugh: )

My favorite character is Sawyer, he is a badass. He tells you how it is, even if you don't like it. Sawyer is out for one person and one person only, himself. And I think that is great to watch. But I do think that he has a lil of the considerate trait in his body sometimes.

is no one else making a big deal about jin and the freaking chicken

Other than last week's trailer that showed Jin speaking English being extremely misleading, not really.

Jin essentially said everything was going to change, and it did. The chicken represented where he worked (and did anyone notice that his boss at the chicken place was also Locke's boss at the box company?), and the guy inside the suit was the convenience store owner who sold him the ticket. At the end of last night's episode, Hurley tried to get his friend to promise that things wouldn't change because of the money. Clearly it did and that sits badly with Hurley. Now, there's SO MUCH MORE to the island with the bunker and all its secrets, that Hurley is afraid that things changing HAS to mean bad changes. Now, WHY it was Jin in the dream, I'm not certain but I'm sure we'll get a clue as to why sooner or later. Besides, after all he wasn't speaking English, Hurley was speaking Korean.

Of course, that's just my opinion, totally only worth what you paid for it.

It was an interesting episode, the other survivors have some kind of underground bunker of their own, but we don't know if it fits in with the same company who built the one that Locke found.

I was glad Rose was proven right, still kind of strange that people in another section of the plane survived since the tail section ripped off. So the plane as far as we know so far scattered in three parts. On the beach, in the jungle with the pilot, and then somewhere on the other side of the island.

We still has Danielle Rouseau somewhere on the island, Desmond is there somewhere, and amonng the polarbears, boars and smoke demons is The Others!

Must be a pretty big island!

It is cool how somethings are interlaced, I've been watching the first season on DVD to pick up on tings I might have missed.

On Jin's episode, In Translation he goes to the commisioner of energies house and she is watching TV, if you look at the TV it looks like it is Hurley who is on the TV getting into a car.

The next episode about Hurley's numbers it is mentioned that he owns a box company which ties him into Locke who works as that company.

Last season, there was an episode of Alias (the other JJ creation) where Sydney had a party at her place. The music that was playing was Driveshaft music, a song that was created for Lost.

This is a cool site for 'Driveshaft fans'. I can't tell if its one of those faux sites ABC has for Lost stuff or just a very imaginative fan:

Another disappointing show IMO. I really was hoping to see a shot of the 'others'. I hate how they go to commercial every 5 minutes. It's actually starting to make me unlike it more.

What does it mean in the previews about 'In 3 weeks one castaway..yada yada yada" What does 3 weeks mean? What..the show doesn't come on for 3 weeks? That's BS.

I agree.

So far season 1 was much better than season 2.

Also, the new Battlestar Galactica has surpassed Lost in quality, writing and acting.

As far as an episode I thought it was good. As for advancing the story goes I thought it stunk. I would like to get some questions answered. Perhaps the writers were not prepared for the success of the show and now they are treading water to keep it going. Tonight was the first time that I began to get frustrated with the show.

Anyhow, I do love the way that they portray a character one way but then show a flashback and make you sympathize with that character. One of the strong points of the writing is character development. I could not stand Jin when the show started, but now he is really growing on me. I can't stand Ana Lucia and I can't help but wonder what her flashback will reveal.

3 weeks? Good grief.

BTW, I like the new avatar TDK.

While I don't mind the storytelling this year, the pacing has been downright horrible. Especially when they nearly recapped the whole down inside the hatch episode.

Read somewhere that in the episode where Jack & Locke watch the film down below that there was mention that you see Mickey mouses ears and a quick clip of someone who looks like Locke's dad? Not sure if this is true or not, so any feedbackon that would be appreciated.

New episode tomorrow, supposedly someone will die.... I am almost led to believe it is the blonde woman from the group Sawyer & Michael stumbled upon. I just don't think with the popularity of the show, they would kill off one of their main characters again so for the present she can be considered a throwaway character, if such a thing exists.

Well I hadn't heard about the mickey mouse ears. That's kinda funny. I agree about the pacing, at least in the first few episodes. And they are trying to tell the story of the two different groups so that makes it slower too. I hope Libby dies too but I have read that it's one of the main characters. I wish they would quit killing people off. :duh:

I loved this episode. We found out more about the other survivors. And we're going to next week as well. But I still want to see an 'other'. Well Shannon is inevitably dead with that gun shot. I guess thats the one they were talking about. But what were the other survivors running from?

Come on guys. "I want to see the others." You already have! On the boat when they took Walt! And we keep kinda seeing Walt, and he's kind of an Other now.

Still, this last episode upset me. Everybody heard the girl screaming "WALT!", so how did they not recognize her screaming voice and tell new girl not to shoot?

Elway
11-17-2005, 09:14 PM
Both Shannon & Anna Lucia were hearing the whispers of the jungle, so between that and the cracking of the bush maybe she couldn't hear Shannon calling for "Walt"

Still wondered why Michael wasn't calling out to her, unless he couldn't hear her calling his sons name also.

Hopefully by next week everything will start getting interesting again.

Six more weeks! :jawdrop: What am I going to do with myself! Tonights show was great. Glad to find out what Kate did I guess. Even though I now have more questions. Thought the horse was strange! I guess it's just another mystery.

I'm nervous for the Denver/KC game this weekend. No matter how good we are bad things seem to happen at arrowhead! I'll be on pins and needles till that game is over.

This was a rather odd episode. Kate still can't decide which man she wants (I'm getting a very strong Star Wars flashback here. The nice guy you take home and the bad boy).

Hi knead! Gotta love that DDK! mmmm.... (ok, close your mouth and stop drooling! ;) ). I yelped when "Dad?" came on the screen. WALT!!!!!! Watch out, mad dad on the loose (is it 6 weeks yet? huh?????). The raft/penthouse/spa is now Area 42 (gotta love that number!). Drop in sometime. Dad posts there a lot and he's a hoot to read. Also, the average age is over 18... (ok, way over).

Nob - Hi! Nice to meet you. :D It was frustrating in a good way for me, just because we have to wait 6 weeks! And there has been talk about how Jack=Luke, Sawyer=Han Solo, Jin=Chewbacca (the side kick who doesn't speak English), etc. But Han Solo gets the girl in the end! I know a few Jaters (Jack & Kate fans) who wouldn't be happy about that. But they did get their kiss (even though it didn't have the ending they would have liked! LOL)

And what is with the horse???? Dundundun!!!!

GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!! (I always "hate" KC games - they are too iffy! LOL). And good luck going to San Diego!!!!

I like when they do that with the cookies.

I thought it was a good episode. At least it starts to move the story forward again. We know there are blast doors down below and thanks to the spliced film that there was some incident that happened. Though why they cut out the film, moved it to the otherside of the island and put it in a book, I don't fully understand. But I like that now we have to figure out how the others have let Walt on a computer and still have the mystery of his image appearing to both Sayid and Shannon.

I liked seeing the agent again also, did they ever give him a name?

The PTB (powers that be = the network) decided to let other shows/specials fill the time between Nov. sweeps and after the new year. ******spoiler************

01/04 - Mistaking Shannon for an Other, Ana Lucia killed her. So it's not a shock that the fuselage folks have been a little apprehensive about the tail-section survivors joining their camp. Those feelings intensify on January 11 when the imposing Mr. Eko learns Charlie's got a Virgin Mary statue, and demands the recovering junkie show him where he found it. That means a trek back to the downed Beechcraft full of heroin and a dead Nigerian "priest." "Eko [is] connected into the story of the drug plane," says executive producer Carlton Cuse. "People are curious about where that plane came from. We're gonna explain that." And what's Eko been up to with that big stick he's always carrying around? Reveals executive producer and cocreator Damon Lindelof, "He's carving Scripture on it." Remember the monster? We last saw it in May's season finale, when it appeared as a slithering mass of black smoke. "We will be seeing the monster in the January 11 episode," Lindelof says. Indeed, one character will have an up-close-and-personal encounter with the thing so viewers will get a better, longer look, too. Source: TV Guide (Printed edition)

Did anybody else see the images in the black smoke (the creature)? I had it on DVR and went through frame by frame and this is what I think I saw:

1. The church where Eco's brother was the priest
2. A face (maybe his brother)
3. The old man that Eco killed
4. The face of the guy that double crossed him
5. An unidentified woman.
6. The image of him holding his brother after he had been shot
7. Finally, an image of Jesus on the crucifix.

There were four or five other images, but I couldn't tell what they were.
Obviously, these are his memories.

What do you all see?

5. An unidentified woman.
6. The image of him holding his brother after he had been shot
7. Finally, an image of Jesus on the crucifix.

There were four or five other images, but I couldn't tell what they were.
Obviously, these are his memories.

What do you all see?

I did not notice it at first. Here is a link for those of you who want to see what Spike is talking about. Definitely some cool stuff.

If "kind of a sad show" meant that was the worst Lost episode to date, I completely agree with you. Enough with Charlie and Driveshaft and that stupid ass "Hello Everybody" song.

The pacing is much----much slower than season one. Seems like it takes 3 episodes for something to happen at times, when they used to show it in one in the first season.

Yea last night was very good, I would have never thought Charlie was behind that.

Nothing, but I do think Locke is gunna freak out when it hits 0.

Locke was getting too big for hit britches. The only thing I didn't like was he seemed a bit out of character. The way he fell for Sawyers line, he couldn't tell someone was following him with the guns and the fact they made him look all nervous looking when he was told Jack was coming for the guns.

ALOT happened after that. Jin, Sawyer & Michael eventually make it back to the rest of the fuse survivors. The tailies come with them but one gets lost along the way. (Cindy) Ana Lucia accidently shoots and kills Shannon. Some more run ins with the "others". Claire remembers her time in captivity with the others and goes out in the jungle and finds the place where they kept her but it's now deserted.

I think that Jin is indeed the father. I thought that the whole english teacher chemistry was just a red herring. Too obvious for Lost. I think that she sounded very sincere when she told Jin that she had never cheated. If the island can heal Locke's legs, then it can heal Jin's testies.

I thought at first that it sounded like Desmond. But it could have also been Henry. That guy is quite the character.

Elway

Well at least they are trying to slowly move the stroy forward, has been an off-kilter season so far, and the repeats were just down right annoying.

I did like Anna line, "Locke and Jack are too worried about Jack and Locke."

Jin's testies? HAHAHAHA. That's funny. Maybe he has something like Hank Hill, a narrow Urethra.

Yea Henry is quite the character, I still haven't made up my mind on whether or not he is an other. He seems pretty convincing.

Still the other could have planted the balloon there (with the island anything seems possible) knowing that the survivors would want to verify Henry's story.

The best thing about this show is most theories are entirely plausible and most are probably incorrect. For my part, I think Sun was hiding something, but not that Jin isn't the father. It's gotta be something else. I agree with LDB that it is probably a red herring, at least as far as the tutor is concerned and that Jin's sacks are full of swimmers.

Henry is tough to call. He is spooky and is well acted. Our intrepid gang has been behind the curve and the 8-ball this entire show and I wouldn't be surprised if Henry is not only an Other, but the Man. That he allowed himself to be captured and is playing this big game with them.

I thought the good guys would get ahead after seeing the fake beard and the other juicy details, but they don't do anything with it all! That's rather frustrating.

Though how would they know? I mean he has been in that 'cell' the whole time. They have no way of knowing what Henry's plan is.

I also agree that Sun is hiding something...that's not anything new to the Losties though.

I began thinking that same thing after the last episode. Don't know if he got caught intentionally or not, but I suspect that he might be the leader of the others. He is totally playing Locke and Jack. Didn't like him at first but he is quite the character. I also believe that either the balloon was there and they never did anything with it, or it was planted there (the hatch has to be bugged some way and the others are monitoring what's going on). No way is Henry who he says he is. I read somewhere that the name Henry Gale is the name of the wizard in the Wizard of Oz. Wasn't there a hotair balloon in that too? Anyways, my bet is that they see the balloon and because of that Anna-Lucia will believe him (based on her history with the last guy she thought was an other) and will free him. Ironically, this guy will be an other.

Lack of communication and indifference with information is a part of this show. It gets very irritating!

LDB - It is entirely possible that Henry is an other and he's doing a great job of playing Jack and Locke. At this point I almost hope he is an "other". It would make the show more interesting and Locke and Jack need something to shake things up a little. This hatch/push the button thing is getting old.

Where the hell is Michael?????

Eldritch, now that would be interesting if henry were the man. He gives me the creeps and at first I just wanted him gone but now I'm enjoying someone taking the role of "bad guy".

I have not seen tonights episode yet but I have a theory about Libby that I want to get out before it airs. I think Libby was actually following Hurley and that is why she was on the plane.

1)Libby works for Hanso (But probably not on the Dharma project)
2)Hurley wins the lottery using the numbers.
3)Hanso realizes this and finds out Hurley is less than stable.
4)Libby is sent to follow Hurley and record the consequences of the use of the numbers. (She is chosen because she is a shrink.)
5)In the episode Everybody Hates Hugo you can see an out of focus tall blond women walking behind Hurley in the music store.
6)At some point Hurley notices Libby but then forgets about her, that is why she looks familiar.
7)Following Hurley is why Libby was on the plane.

I doubt Libby knows much about why she is following Hurley or the Dharma initiative. But I am betting she has some pieces of the puzzle.
