I've gotten 6469.63. The trick is using your aeriel boosts to greatest effect. If the word special flashes on the screen hit it quickly. The best special is when the girl that normally stops you is a special. One other trick is the beginning. Click once and hold to get the angle you want. The meter will then fill and empty showing you the amount of power that goes into the initial hit.

If anyone wants proof of my score I'll try and dig up the screenshot I took.
