In Cronilogical order:
I was in my 5th grade class when we heard that the space shuttle Challenger blew up during liftoff. My teacher, Ms. Regan, cryed when she told us. I don't know if it blew up that day or if it was the day before, but that was when I heard about it.
I was at a superbowl party up in Kotzebue when the Broncos won their first superbowl, and got all choked up seeing Elway celibrating.
I was down here in Anchorage for the repeat.
I was waking up, and my TV was on, at the Red Dog Mine when they were showing footage of the first tower that was hit on the 11th of September. I was watching and they were speculating on what happened, when the second tower was struck. Me and my boss watched the news all day in the central office (we've got a TV in there to adjust the channels).
I was watching TV in the same office when space shuttle Cloumbia was overdue, and they showed footage of it blowing up.

9/11 - I wake up to my friend leaving a message on my answering machine, "John, the ******* world trade center is on fire!"...I turned on the t.v., not but a few minutes later, the second tower was hit. Most surreal moment of my life I'd say.
2001, W.S. Game 7..At school on my couch with a few friends...everyone was still obviously shocked over 9/11, and it was just a lil more surreal when the yanks lost game 7..rivera untouched just about til that point in his career, the yanks had made an improbable run in that series, but couldn't pull it out....
2004, Game 7 ALCS...at the stadium.

September 11th-
I was in homeroom, my math teacher's class, when the vice principal came andwhispered something to her. she got a weird look, and went and turned on the tv, and the news had broken in and said that a world trade center tower was hit by a commercial jet. All of a sudden the anchor just stopped talking. dont remember exactly what he said, but his voice was gone, and they switched to their footage. they were filming to hsow the devestation of the first tower, thinking it was some freak accident. of course it wasnt. sad day

9/11 - Well, what a story. I was ready to get back to Science class, when I started to noticed that a bunch of teachers were glued to a TV set, I peeked in, and I saw the towers on fire. I quickly rushed down to my class, and I yelled, "DUDE! The Twin Towers are burning!" And the teacher quickly turned on his set. What an unforgetable day that was.
I don't remember any other significant days.

Holy crap, most of you are way younger than I thought you were...
Let's see...things I can remember.
I don't really remember but I know I was 7 when the Berlin Wall came down :)
I vaguely remember the Challenger exploding...and that was in '88 right?
I remember the Gulf War because we had a family member who played a pretty key role in a lot of air strikes. And, I believe he dropped one of the first bombs of the war. He was an F-16 pilot. I got to see his H.U.D. during a mission of his...and he was low on fuel trying to dodge S.A.M.s left and right, you could see the smoke trails from the missiles and everything and hear his wingman telling him which way to break...it was intense...
He used to send me pictures and stuff. I have a picture of his F-16 fully loaded with a Bomb that says: "Hey Saddam, this one's for you...From (Me) in Idaho"
It's the coolest thing ever. I think he dropped it on one of Saddam's industrial plants or something.
I remember Columbine...I was in school...and for some reason I can't recall the year right now. I'm obviously not going in order here.
I remember the back to back SuperBowls (I was watching ESPN Classic yesterday and they were doing those two Bowls and a lot of memories came back and I was all getting excited all over again, it was great. I remember being in 8th grade for XXXII and giving my science teacher crap because he was a Raiders fan. I remember putting up with all the bandwagoners too.
I remember coming home from school one day maybe when I was a Soph. and seeing that we were bombing Saddam's palaces and I remember thinking: "Finally something Clinton has done that I can applaud him for and agree with." But then of course, he didn't follow up with anything that made that campaign significant and as a result:
I was getting ready for school my Senior year and the DJs on the radio were talking about a plane hitting one of the twin towers and I thought they were doing a fake news story as a joke or something and then they had said something about another plane but I thought they were kidding because it sounded like they didn't know what they were doing (they didn't) so I thought it was part of the show. So I got picked up by my friend and we went to school oblivious and then when we got there everyone was talking about it and one of my classmates came running in yelling: "They hit the Pentagon! They hit the Pentagon!" And then it finally hit me...I had wondered and thought maybe it was an accident and then I was pissed because I figured out it wasn't and then I heard about the Pentagon and I went into a rage of anger, disbelief, helplessness, determination and all sorts of emotions.
What a memory to have happen during your Senior year of high school. It was one of the most memorable years of my life and that is a big reason why.
Let's see, I remember being devistated when McCaffrey went down but then the next day kind of made that unimportant.
I remember Bush finally delcaring war on Afghanastan and getting to see footage and I was like: "finally! go kick some ass!"
I remember coming home from class each day waiting to see progress and finally seeing the night-sky of Baghdad light up with our first attack and thinking the same thing: "Finally! Blow that s.o.b. right out of his home!!!"
I remember driving to church one Sunday morning and hearing that we finally captured Saddam and I threw my hands up in joy and almost wrecked my car I was so excited and I even got choked up because we finally got him.
I remember watching footage of the Columbia recently just disintigrating as it re-entered the atmosphere...that was interesting. It looked like a comet.
I know there are so many things I could probably sit and think about...and those are just a few.

Second Superbowl victory: at my friend's house. Other than the usual plays everyone remember from that game I also remember the commercial coming on for the Victoria's Secret Fashion show on ABC later that week and the whole room going to stunned silence for its entirety.
9/11 in bed before heading to my 10:35 history class my roomate turned on the tv and said a plane hit the first tower and we were thinking it was an accident until we saw the second one it which was so freaking rediculous and unbelievable. Couldn't help thinking about Executive Orders by Tom Clancy. Then not even believing the Pentagon rumors before they were confirmed. Then going up to Mass at the Bascillica here in DC and being able to see the smoke rising from the Pentagon. Finding out the girl I was dating was in her room going hysterical because her father is a NYC firefighter. Finding out later he was ok.
Hearing the President speaking at Ground Zero and feeling the pain and need for righteous retribution from the entire country.
