What crap, the Bush's are obviously the most retarded, crack snorting, speech deprived American's of all-time. No way in Hell do they merit the title "Greatest American." Whoever put this together needs to be tied to the back of a bumper and be drove through the harshest terrains around.

An alternative could be using fingernail clippers to cut them and let them bleed to death.

The Bushes? Dr Phil? Billy Graham? Hmmm.... heres my top 3 from the list

Martin Luther King
Jackie Robinson
Steve jobs

You know the first 2, but what about Steve Jobs? He was adopted at a young age and quickly showed an interest in electronics. As a kid he had the balls to write to the owner of Hewlett-Packard (Mr. Hewlett) t oask for parts for a school project, he received the parts, and a job offer. He dropped out of college. Later, he with Steve Wazniak worked in Jobs's garage to develop and release the first ever personal computer as cofounders of Apple. He retired from apple in the 80's, later founding PIXAR animation studios. After rejoining Apple, he rejuvinated the company with products such as the IPod.

So basically, kid was adopted and went on to introduce the personal computer market in america, later only to revolutionize the entertainment industry. He gets my vote.

What about the guy who goes to work everyday to make our lives easier... who dies, is unknown... I'll call it the Tomb of the Unknown Worker. Any soldier having gone to war, is the greatest american as well.

Heh. Billy Graham, the Bush family (all of them it seems)... a few others...

Well, there are indeed a far greater number of Republicans on the Internet (especially recreationally) than Democrats, and I think it kind of shows in things like this.

Well, in defense of the Internet, I do note that Bobby, John and Jackie Kennedy all made the list too.

But that's a no brainer. Reagan should be on the list perhaps... but any of the Bushes? Let's be genuine here folks. His approval rating hasn't been above 50% in over two years - and for good reason.

I'm not saying otherwise, BBJ. But Bush is a poor choice. That's like... picking Eddie Kennison as one of Denver's greatest players.

Heheheh... Poor Eddie...

Anyways, I was really put off by this list of nominees. Like, 30% of the people on the list don't even deserve to be called "good people'... they shouldn't be on a list for "Greatest American" with such awesome American contributors. I'd probably vote for Ali, Disney, MLK, or Hank Ford. But really... 4 Bushes? Limbaugh? Trump? Michael Moore? Dr. Phil? Billy Graham? There's your poster children for the seven deadly sins. These people are scum... they should be on the "Greatest Waste of America's Oxygen" list... :hurt:

i kinda wondered the same thing when i saw them on there (personally i think most of those are ridiculous results of the fact that most people don't know anything but celeb gossip. washington, jefferson, keller . . . maybe a few others deserved it).

so may i seriously pose the question: for those who support bush (and i'll say i once did - back when he was running for pres the first time on the platform of small gov and a more isolationist foriegn policy . . . oh how naive i was), do you honestly believe he should be considered one of the greatest americans? for fear that the question might sound otherwise, i am seriously curious about your honest opinion.

ha! amen to that. i don't see why you say graham is scum though - i don't know much about him these days but i always thought him a lot different than, say, televangelists.
