I thought this would be a fun combination of a couple other games. From the posted lyrics of a song, name the song and the movie that either used it or made it famous. If you get it, then you post some lyrics of another movie song. Please try to stick to songs that actually got played on the radio (i.e. nothing super obscure).
Okay, here's the first one:
"So many times, it happens too fast
You trade your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive"

Right, Rocky 3. Now you need to post some lyrics from a movie song for somebody else to guess.

I'm up for this one:
"Headin' into twilight
Spreadin' out her wings tonight
She got you jumpin' off the track
And shovin' into overdrive"
Don't look it up :D

I think it was called "Mighty Wings" or something like that but I know it was from Top Gun. Good flick!
How about this one:
Lonely rivers flow to the sea, to the sea
To the open arms of the sea
Lonely rivers sigh, "Wait for me, wait for me"
"I'll be coming home, wait for me!"

"Unchained Melody" _Righteous Bros. (Great tune)
The movie Ghost. 1990.

Who's your daddy?
Is he rich ( is he rich) like me?
Has he taken any time
To show you what you need to live?"

Well, since nobody seems able to get that one, I'll just say that it was an Elvis flick, I'm pretty sure. Sorry to be so vague but that one seems to have killed the thread. :ugh:
How about this one:
"Just a steel town girl on a Saturday night
Looking for the fight of her life
In the real-time world no one sees her at all
They all say she's crazy
Locking rhythms to the beat of her heart
Changing woman into life
She has danced into the danger zone
When the dancer becomes the dance
It can cut you like a knife if the gift becomes the fire
On the wire between will and what will be"

Um I'm gonna go with The Beginning Is the End Is The Beginning" by the Smashing Pumkins from Batman and Robin but I know I'm way off.
Let's see...
"And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything seems like the movies
Yeah you bleed just to know your alive"

Winner takes it all, I THINK by Sammy Hagar. From "Over the Top"? The only song I remember for sure from that movie was "Meet Me Halfway" by Kenny Loggins.

"I used to be such a sweet, sweet thing
'Til they got a hold of me.
I opened doors for little old ladies,
I helped the blind to see.
I got no friends 'cause they read the papers.
They can't be seen with me and I'm gettin' real shot down
And I'm feeling mean"
(this one is tricky. I think it was in multiple movies, one by the original artist, one used a cover version in the early 90's......a cp if you get the more obscure one)

That would be "No More Mr. Nice Guy" by Megadeth. I wasn't that big of a fan but I really liked "Symphony of Destruction" off the same album, I believe.
But I had to cheat to find out what movie it was from (turns out I never saw it) but I could only find one movie anyway. If nobody else gets it, I'll use my ill-gotten answer and continue the game.

No More Mr Nice Guy by Alice Cooper, it was in Dazed and Confused I believe.
A classic:

Okay, since nobody got that last one, I'll continue with the one I posted before:
"Won’t you come see about me?
I’ll be alone, dancing you know it baby
Tell me your troubles and doubts
Giving me everything inside and out and
Love’s strange so real in the dark
Think of the tender things that we were working on
Slow change may pull us apart
When the light gets into your heart, baby"
