have any of you ever drafted a player in round 1 that turned into a complete bust??? if so, what happened?

also, which player (from last years draft) normally turns into the best and which one the bust?

for me, vince wilfork ALWAYS becomes one of the BEST DL in the NFL within 2-3 years, he is a beast!!!!!!!!! just got 20 SACKS last season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

eli manning is normally a bust, he plays behind warner for 3-4 years and turns out average and gets cut. not much strength in his throws either IMO

D.J. Williams made the Pro Bowl.

Eli Manning and a 1st round pick were traded for Tom Brady and a 3rd round pick.

I haven't drafted any real busts in my Madden franchises.

However I have signed former busts onto my teams several times.

I have great success on Madden. My outlook is drafting for depth and signing free agents to start. When I am unable to draft depth. I sign unwanted players in free agency. This usually helps make my Browns franchise amazing. I sacrifice my first season on Madden 05 because I have a horrid coaching staff except for Rosburg (who is a decent ST coach) . I usually sign Defensive HC. Then for OC I focus on ones that will emphasize a need in their specialty. Such as if my OL sucks I will sign an OL oriented OC. Same goes with Defense. I usually sign busts as my backup QB's. Once I signed a player that the Lions drafted. For his career (from memory) he had 13TD's and 32INT. If memory serves right. With my offense stressing my needs and such he was able to improve on his numbers and his overall rating skyrocketed and he went on to become a starting QB for another franchise. Once that ended I would sign another one. On average I found that my coaching ideology helped 70% of all former busts improve their career.
