Me and the wifey's song is "Hero" by Enrique Iglesias. She melts everytime she hears it.:D

So after we got married my new song was "Hair of the Dog" by Nazareth. LOL! :D

I don't have a marriage song (Is that what I'm suppose to reply about?), I am not married nor do I have a girlfriend...

The song that decribes me right is Typical Situation by Dave Matthews... For two reasons, one being that everything that is happening in my life is so typical... Second, the song doesn't really make sense and neither does a little of things in my life!

On a secular level, "We Are the Champions," made famous by Queen. (I think that's the title.) "Hero" and "I Write the Songs" are in there, too. But what brings me to tears are "I'll Walk With God" and "The Potter." That's just me, I guess. Blubbering fool!

Edit: I'm not married now, so I don't supposed an "our song" would apply. :D

Well, at our wedding they played "Endless Love" by Lionel Richie and Diana Ross, but only because the freaking DJ forgot "Taking You Home", by Don Henley.

My own personal song for my wife right now is "Tough Times Don't Last" by Bad English.

check it out here: http://www.lyricsfreak.com/b/bad-english/11756.html

Hmm, the current song is a Clay Walker tune....damned, if I know the name, she does though.

Think it's something like "This woman and this man".

Anyhow, good tune, somewhat older I think.

Live is vastly underrated, I think they have some pretty good tunes.

You seem to love Disturbed, I've seen you mention them a lot. To each their own, but I don't know why. Personal preference I suppose, I just never got into it.

I always liked Live...I think that they went to hell when Ed Kowalczik the lead singer started to get all introspective on his Buddhist religion...just my opinion

Disturbed is more of a weight-lifting thing. I lift 5 days a week. So they get alot of air-time in my house. The song "Devour" is a great song to rage to. here is the chorus:
"I will devour you, take all the pain away, I cannot stay my hand, from reaching out so that I can empower you, for all eternity, it seems to ease my mind, to know that you've brought meaning to my life"
I also think that "Prayer" may very well be the best song released in the last 5 years. I have many other bands that I like. TOOL is by far my favorite..

That's interesting that you say that, because their lyrics have always been influenced by spiritual themes, in general, but they have always been into Eatern themes. Their first major label release was actually a collection of songs based on the writings of Indian philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurt. Which is strange for bunch of Polish-Catholic kids from York (PA) Catholic High School.

I have their first album on cassette when they were known as Public Affection somewhere when they played a gig at Lehigh University in 1989. Totally different sounding band, although I think three of the songs were re-tooled into songs on Mental Jewelry. "Good Pain" made it through pretty much the same. They were JUST out of high school...a month maybe? I was shocked at how close they were to my age. Based on what I heard on Lehigh's student run station, I was expecting a bunch of 25 years olds who worshipped U2. Not 18 year olds with shaved heads.

Anyway, I do like Live. I was one of the first people in my crowd in HS to turn other people on to them.
