was a tough choice, but I was hoping Bo would have gotten it. Oh well, really doesn't matter since they both will record deals. Atleast Bo won't be held back and have to do AI approved songs. Best season so far IMO.
lmao......i just saw that.....congrats carrie
Just another Kelly Clarkson. Needed some rock in Bo, oh well, the show sucks!
i was hoping bo would win.....im a rock n rolll kinda guy

Carrie will make a country record, and that will just be added on top of the idol watchers. I think she'll sell more records than any of the others....maybe even combined

Good songstress. Needs a little coaching for professional, which is to be expected. But great upside.

Carrie definetly was better. She sang much better last year. Bo was one of my fav. characters. I liked both. I was pulling for Carrie more. 1. because she sings better. 2. she's hotter. :goofy:
Put simply. Bo-better performer. Carrie-better singer.
Congrats again Carrie.

He is a fine singer. I liked him. However, he blew it on the final night. Two okay songs and a great one. Carrie had an okay song, a good one, and a great one. Where he could have "brung it" was in the song "Great God In Heaven" (I don't know the proper title), where he needed to bring it from the gut, hit the beat much harder. Nine times out of ten, he probably would have; that was just the tenth time . . . .
IMHO.

If you want real talent, I'll smack my face into my piano and make a record.

After watching the final show last night, I gotta say that both Bo and Carrie were way better then they had been in the competition. Guess the release of stress and strain had a lot to do with it.

I just find it ironic that the AI contestant whose sold the most CDs (Clay Aiken) didn't even win the competition!

Well, that is the problem with talent contests. There is no way to resort to viable measurements, so all judging is, by nature, subjective. Because a contestant wins does not necessarily mean that contestant is better. Someone had to be picked, so they picked someone. Also, the judges were only glory figures: the viewing audience picked the winner. I hardly believe that a collection of electricians, secretaries, lawyers, plumbers, landscapers, and on and on represent accomplished talent scouts.
For instance, nothing against Bo at all--he is one fine singer and showman--but I believe his drop-dead good looks went far in getting him where he was. And Carrie was no Phyllis Diller. Who will go onto superstardom? If any does at all, it may be neither of the finalists. Many of who lost to them were not shabby by any means. We'll see.
IMHO.

and thats like.....4
Okay...
How about we do album sales through May 15? Right now, the biggest selling "Idol" is Kelly Clarkson. With her two studio albums -- "Thankful" and "Breakaway," both on RCA -- she's sold 4.3 million albums in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Season two runner-up Clay Aiken comes in second with 3.7 million copies of one studio album and one Christmas album. In third is season two winner Ruben Studdard at 2.2 million for one studio album and one gospel set. Last year's winner, Fantasia, is fourth with 1.4 million copies sold of her solo debut.
None of the other albums released by "Idol" contestants (or wannabes) have yet sold more than 500,000 units. They include Justin Guarini, Tamyra Gray, RJ Helton, Jim Verraros, Kimberley Locke, William Hung and Josh Gracin.
However, Gracin is the biggest-selling of the latter group. His self-titled Hollywood country album has sold 412,000 to date.
It didn't matter to me who won, but Bo is more of my style... they'll both be successful. I will echo some thoughts here that Carrie was the better singer and Bo was the better performer. If anything, Bo needs to work on his singing, and Carrie needs to work on her stage presence/emotion. She did a much better job of it the last couple of weeks and I think that it was this (and the final night's performances) that put her over the top. (How can you not love the way she looks.... ) All in all the best season yet, and "America definitely got it right this time" with the final two.
They'll both outsell Kelly someday...

What do you guys think of her single to come out on June 14th: Inside Your Heaven
I personally like it. However on her album, she better be singing some country.
