View Full Version : Remember that show???

This is the thread for all of the forgotten shows from way back when...
I understand that way back when could mean 1960 or 1990...whenever way back when was to you... :D
Anyone remember the "Greatest American Hero" with William Katt?
Belive it or not I'm walkin' on air I never though I could feel so free...
...flyin' away on a wing and a prayer...who could it be? Believe it or not, it's just me...
It was about a guy who acquired "Super-powers" and had trouble figuring out how to live with them...I'll guess and say circa 1985...
...any shows that you remember, that everyone else forgot?

How about 'Are you being served?'
Do you mean the BBC show set in the department store?
Airwolf was pretty good, there was also the Blue Thunder TV show, based on the movie of the same name, about a hi-spec police coptor.
In the same vein as Knight Rider there was Streethawk which was virtually identical except two wheels rather than four. Wasn't there also a show around thhe sametime called Automan ?

I liked the earlier"Are you being Served" with the old owner who always had 1 or 2 nurses with him.....I think later they moved to a Bed and Breakfast theme on a farm .....also liked "Fawlty Towers" with John Cleese and of course "Monty Python's Flying Circus"..........Blue Thunder had I think Jan Michael Vincent...........ABC had a comedy show. forget the name about two guys who had to dress up like women in order to stay in an apartment building, believe Tom Hanks played in it???????? ......There was a show called the "Six million dollar Man" about a guy put together with the latest tech. available in the 70's :D

Yeah, that was 'Young Mr Grace'! And of course there was Mrs Slocombe who was always on about her pu$$y.....................cat!.
Jan Michael Vincent was Airwolf, alongside Earnest Borgnine. Roy Schneider stared in the movie of Blue Thunder, but was replaced by James Farentino in the TV show.
I remember both Lee Majors as the Six Million Dollar Man and I think she was his wife at the time Lindsey Wagner as the Six Million Dollar Woman. Lee Majors also starred in a show about a stuntman come bounty hunter called The Fall Guy

I think the other British show was "Keeping up Appearences"..........Mrs.Bucket ,I believe she pronounced it Bouquet
And the "Greatest American Hero", the guy had a problem landing.....I think his mother was an actress on Perry Mason, she played Della Street

yeah I remeber watching it when I was a kid, I'd get that song stuck in my head all the time
Remeber that show with Tea' Lioni called "The Naked Truth" I'd watch that one all the time, mostly cuz I thought she was the hottest of all the hotties.
Remember that movie "Career Oppurtunities" I know it's not a show, but it's worth remembering. I seen it on cable the other day. Jennifer Connelly was the hottest she's ever been in that movie...heart stopping hot.

Automan didn't even make it past one season, the star of it was Desi Arnez Jr.
Then you also had pre-dallas Patrick Duffy as the Man from Atlantis
Michael York as Manimal
Dukes of Hazzard one season spin off Enos.
Fox also had a sting of short lived series: Mantis, Strange Luck, Lone Gunmen, Adventures of Brisco County Jr, Harsh Realm and most recently Firefly.
Greatest American Hero has been re-released on DVD, Connie Selleca as his girlfriend before she starred in Hotel, William Katt as teacher Bill Hinkley and Robert Culp as FBI agent Bill Maxwell.
sad part is I didn't even have to look any of this up, it's just mixed in with all the other trivia junk in my noggin.

Ponderosa!!! I knew I wasnt the only person to remember Bonanza also being called Ponderosa. Point coming for that AZ!
Does anyone remember a show called Grand? It was about this small town where everyone worked in a piano factory. It was a half hour sitcom that only lasted one season. In the finale, there was a tornado that killed everyone.
I think it was about 10 years ago.

It was called Bonanza for most of it's run. But I remember as a kid it being called The Ponderosa in its first seasons. It was the name of the ranch though.
Iv'e had "discussions" about this before, but have never been able to be sure of my thoughts here. Maybe on of these days I'll bother to research it on the internet sometime. I loved that show as a kid.
