Both of my folks were born in 1930.

My Pa served in the Navy during the Korean War.
My Ma was born on my Grandpas homestead.

For what it is worth, My Ma's parents, my Grandparents were both born in 1899.

My Grandpa lied about his age in 1917, in order to enlist in the army during WW1.
In some papers we found, My Grandpa went AWOL at one point, and they snagged him in Paris. I would have loved to hear that story from him! His honorable discharge papers were signed by General Black Jack Pershing.

So how about it folks? Give us a year and maybe a tidbit or two!

What years were your parents born in?
And one or more of your Grandparents.

My father was born in Zimbabwe in 1965 and my mum in the U.K in 1970.

My Grandpa was born in 1935 to a family of twelve.

On the day before my Grandma was born in 1940 a German fighter plane was being chased by a British plane over her home.
In an attempt to lighten it's load and get away the German plane dropped a few of it's bombs. The chimney was knocked down and two cows in the field were killed. Otherwise than that no one was hurt thankfully.

Both parents were born in 1946.

I know one one of my grandmothers is 90, so that would be 1915. The other thinks she is 80, or 83. The records are screwy.

Both of my grandfathers are dead and had no birth certficates on record in Puerto Rico.

My mother's stepdad, who I always thought of as my grandfather, died in 1992, I think. But I never knew how old he was.

My dad was born in 1950 and my mom in '55. I just learned a really interesting fact about my grandma on my mom's side the other day. Turns out she pretty much grew up right along side the new pope. They were born in the same year, and when the war started, (at age 17 for them), they were in the same hitler youth unit. They were then assigned to the same air force base where they performed the same types of tasks (mostly menial stuff by the sounds of it, but they also worked some big lights to try and find attacking planes at night). They also both worked in the same area where they dug trenches to keep tanks from getting across. There were a bunch of other things like that, can't remember them all. Unfortunately there were so many teenagers enrolled (you didn't have a choice) at the same time, she doesn't remember names or anything like that, but she could have been digging right along side the future pope. I thought that was kinda neat.

Both were born in 1944.

On my mother's side, my grandfather was much older than my grandmother 20-something years. He was born in the 1880's. When my mother was born, he was around 60... and that before Viagra... :D

Both parents born in 1949.

My mom's dad was born in 1899 which made him 50 when she was born. They had another baby four years after my mom was born. Sadly, there were complications during the delivery. The doctors told my grandmother that they could save either her or the baby. Naturally, my grandmother wanted them to save the baby. They did and my grandmother died shortly after giving birth. The baby died 4 days later. :(

Honestly, I was born before the the parents to many of you. :ugh:

Jared and Broncology, I had been peeing my diapers for a while by the time your parents were born.

PRBronco, I was in grade school--1st grade when you pop was born and 5th grade for your mom. I was driving a wheat truck at 10 years old, BTW. Shows how times have changed.

Dandaman23, I was probably trying to stay in tune in my high school choir--either that or getting knocked on my butt on the football practice field.

And I still haven't grown up.

Anyway, dad 1920, mom 1924. Both dead now.
