Sometimes, life has a turn or to, a bump, taht we dont see coming. I guess, I am making a thread for all of us to share some "bumps" we have hit on our journey

Sometimes life just sucks

Then you die.

We all pretty much knew that already.

Life is what you make of it...

If one dwells on all failures, large and small with a negative outlook...yes, life does indeed suck...

However...

If one looks upon these same failures as opportunities to enrich their understanding of how to improve the quality of their existence...then life is entertaining, time consuming and fulfilling...

Maybe you should take off the shades and wear rose-colored glasses every now and then...or don't wear glasses at all... :D

Well.......... life doesn't suck, because there is always tomorrow to make better.

In principle I agree, but there are things in life (death of a child for example) that takes a lot of tomorrows to heal.

while I would definitly moarn the loss of a child or any friend or family, I would deep down rejoice for them, being thankful for having had them in my life and the opportunity to have learned and grown from knowing them, and knowing they are with the Lord God Almighty and I will be with them again when my time comes.

Knowing Christ most definitely takes the edge off of life sometimes... :D

I've had a few bumps along the way, dealt with my fair share of unexpected deaths, had my best friend marry my fiance', my ex girlfriend has kept my son from seeing me since 1991, I have been to prison because of a car accident, and I have had my business burned down by an arsonist.
How do I cope? Well, to begin with, I like myself, I believe in God, I have faith, and I believe we are all here to learn. Dealing with adversity IMO is the square root of our existence, it's going to happen, and how well a person can cope with these obstacles and heartaches depends on the mindset of the individual.
The worse things get, the more I am prone to doing something positive, rather than negative, I refuse to be "Humpty-dumpty", I have more of a "bring-it" attitude, so, if my fiance marry's my best friend....oh well, I'm here to learn (BTW, she died and I still keep in touch with my friend).....can't see my son??....I'm here to learn and...oh..BTW....that decision is gonna bite you in the tail someday, ( I stay in touch with her mother, she is on my side ) Go to prison??.....I'm here to learn...make the best of it.....is there anybody in prison that needs my help? (There was, I helped get his sentence reduced).....Burn my business down??....hmmm...someday I'll get the doors open again ( They are open ) Bad love life??.....hmmm.....gotta laugh,,, these new boyfriends don't know what they are in for....plus, I am looking forward to the person the lord wants me to be with anyway.......(It was Carolyn, and she thinks I'm something special.....hmmm.......go figure..)
Bad things happen, but, things have a way of working out, so why beat myself up in the process? Where I'm headed, these things will no longer matter. My sig is based on my beliefs. I get pissed, but I try not to dwell, I choose to move forward.

I guess I've had it pretty good. The only thing entering my life recently that really sucks is that brand new vacuum cleaner I just bought.

About the only incident I can think of where something that won't suck . . . . sucks.

But you wanna see something that sucks. We used to raise cattle up toward the Wyoming border,
and every spring would bring a new crop of calves. Those little farts really sucked.
