what kind of work conditions do you have to deal with on a daily basis?

Me, I'm a cook, so I work in a very hot kitchen. We have a swamp cooler but it only blows into the back prep area, not up on the line where I'm at. It is about 120 degrees most days because of all the equipment(grills, fryers, etc.)
And now that the monsoons are starting, the humidity rises and it's nearly unbearable. I gotta get a different job before it kills me :ugh:

Currently I'm a loss prevention guy at Best Buy.

I stand for 8 hours a day, saying, "Hello, folks. Take care folks!" I say that about 1000 times a day. The alarm constantly goes off. The floor is concrete with cheap carpet over it, and I'm not allowed to wander more than 3 feet in any direction unless someone else is there.

The AC hits me square in the face, while the doors behind me blast me with hot air. The result is a perpetual cold.

And of course the highlight of my day is that I get to bust some idiot for swiping something stupid, and call the cops on them.

It's kind of a bummer, but I make the best of it. It's what I have right now and though I hope for more, I have to do what I have to do.

In the office we have AC, but the world's largest rectal diameter is there, so no fun in the office....BTW, Christina is gone... :ugh:

I often travel from site to site...some are good, some are bad...Many of our sites are large factories which means a perpetual sausage party...

Rite Aid Distribution Center on the other hand, boasts almost a 2 to 1 female to male ratio...quite a few lookers in there... ;)

Anf of course every now and then, I jaunt out to Utica to visit Izaak at the insurance company and speak Spanish with the Dominicans...

Wow, I feel very lucky...

I work in a comfortable office, doing accounting for a company that builds and operates resorts. I get here about 8:00 or 8:30 and leave at 5:00. I can wear jeans and sneakers every day and I can take two hour lunches (as long as it's not too often). We have a nine hole mini-golf course laid in the floor, and a fully stocked break room with a $3,500 cappuccino machine.

Today is sports fan day too so I got to wear my Rod Smith alternate jersey, and we get free food and beer at lunch.

Although I can be pretty busy at times, I definitely have a good amount of free time (especially the last half of the month).

I thank the Lord every day for His blessing me with such a great job, I never take it for granted.

Well... The other day some women crapped on the floor at my work... Yeah it was great :duh: ... It wasn't solid either so I had to spray it with chemical and mop it up... Even though that is not a daily thing (thank god), it does happen...

I have two jobs... both of which are janitorial...

One C.T is an insurance company is it is a typical office... Very clean at all times... No problem what so ever...

the other is at Home Depot... It sucks, wicked bad... like i listed before, people pee and crap all over the place, which I get to clean up... Then I have to clean the floors, while there are customers in the store... 90% of which will never get out of my way and I would like to physical remove them, but I am not allowed... I also get to do trash there which isnt so bad....

Nice comfortable corner office with a view. AC, but the black blinded windows face east so unless the AC was left on overnight then I usually feel like I'm sitting next to a heater in the morning. I work with great people too; they gladly do whatever I tell them to... :D

While I'm not the owner I am the VP (among other things) and clearly in charge around here. Hardly anything to complain about.

Oddly enough I'm also the "VP" at home and couldn't possibly have less authority there... :ugh:

Teacher at an urban middle school. They installed A/C in our classes about 10 years ago so that made a huge difference, especially in Summer School (which I am teaching now) and early in the year - September and October can get pretty hot in Southern California.

As for the other conditions, the kids are great for the most part, even during Summer School. The adults/administrators/bosses on the other hand...no comment
