I'm going to first play a quick game. Broncos vs Raiders, with me at home. I'll play that and then go in and check the rosters, making any changes. I will tweak the settings, the custom soundtracks, and look at the superstar mode. After that I will start a franchise mode and tweak some positions and players for different teams.

QUESTION!!!
Is BVP in this game? If he isn't, I will be dissapointed.

First things first... fix Champ's stats, as well as Al Wilsons, among others.

Second is see if I can import my old profile and tokens and completed drills and such.

Third is check to see if I can turn off the salary cap.

Fourth is start a franchise, 15 minute quarters, and see if they fixed the stat simming bug.

Fifth, crack a beer and ride the wave.

Alright, what is the deal with EA. Why the hell would they not put every teams draft pick in this game? That is so frustrating. Foxworth deserves to be in the game, he was a stud at Maryland and damn this is pissing me off while I type it.

Unfortunately for me I wont be able to have a roster update for him. I'm just gonna juice up Paymah's stats and pretend he is Foxworth :cheers: .

They're pretty obscene. Mobley for example... I'm now on week 6 of my franchise's third year. Mobley owns the sack record for a career, at 160 some odd. Bell currently has over 10k yards rushing... Plummer is about to catch Farve on TD passes...

It's... obscene.

Wow, that's ridiculously amazing. But then that's what you get for playing 15 minute quarters. I play 5 minute quarters and do somewhat as good. But that's like multiplying the stats by 3, then by 4. Wow. Good job Alastor.

The 1st thing I'm going to do is make my profile "Vicious" set my favorite team to Denver, set my offensive playbook as denvers and change my defensive scheme to a 3-4. I'm then going to setup some audibles I like and then go lab them.

First, if I play on All-Madden, my entire defense sucks nuts because they screw me on passing yards, costing me dearly in terms of progression. All Madden, while being the hardest level, is also less realistic in my experience than All-pro. This way I get closer to that "real football" feel (until we crunch the stats).

And it's just... fun. I dunno why. It just is.

I'll re-arrange the rosters so that they are correct and it'll get rid of those crazy 68 ratings and all and get the teams up to 80+ ...

and that is without editing the players.

Then I will edit a few players here and there that I thought got unfair ratings. Such as Droughns - I admit that was impressive what he did for you guys. But an 86? GMAFB - He is competing with Lee Suggs and William Green and thus far in camp Suggs is the clear winner. Droughns has shown some skill at getting through holes in TC - but lacks speed and a cut-back. Suggs - He's the whole package, he is a complete back. Can grind it out for a few yards and can burn you with his speed.

I always edit the rosters, do one practice and then make a custom team of friends. Done that every Madden since '02.

I agree 100% on the "less realistic" comment. The CB's will always get burned on seam routes, and the big tough WR's will dodge tackles and get at least 2 or 3 70 yard TD's in each game. I play 7 minute quarters on all-madden and get some pretty good stats but I do like it when the games are close. DJ Williams broke the sack record in a game with 19 when I played the Dolphins in my franchise. It seemed like on every blitz call, he made the sack.

Well right now Mauck is, but since in real life BVP will be third or second string. That' what my friend told me so if you update the rosters online I am sure he will be there.

If I am playing by myself, I will fix my roster and my audibles.
Otherwise 8 of my cousins will come over and it will be a very grueling 24hrs or more. But me and Broncos have been known to
go undefeated if we put our offense together right. Cause the defense always is outstanding and thats without changing anything, and hopefullly it will be better this year. :cheers:

My first priority is to get the game. And I don't know when the hell that will be. But when I do get. I am gonna download rosters so BVP is on it. Than make myself in superstar mode. Find a way to trade Plummer so I can get something in return and make BVP my starting QB.

ill look at the roster then ill practice with a bunch of diff playbooks to find one i like and try to master the cone thing then to online wit my friend and after that ill start ss mode then ill do my ncaa dynasty for draft classes. then sign ty law and move walls to fs and lynch to ss to start my franchise.

You cant turn off the salary cap, but you can get around it.

If you want a player on another team, but fear his salary will kill your cap, change his position (ie change Clinton Portis to MLB) so that hes around a 50 - 60 overall, trade a crappy guy you pulled out of FA for him, then cut the player. Resign him from FA as the changed position, so you sign him for VERY little. THen change him back to his original position, and, boom. Cheap good player

This is harder for WR's and CB's, because all you could change them to is each other, and they still end up with ratings in the high 80's, so its harder to get them.

Right after I set up my main screen and watch the videos on new features they put in I'm going online to make see if these people at EA Sports decided to put a little more pass interference in the game. I got so pissed last year when I would use the Broncos and other people used cheap teams (which i could really care less about), but I do care about people that use their recievers to move the DBs out of the way. You know what i'm talking about, where they take control of their reciever bump your DB away from the direction of where the ball is going and then right before the ball gets there they dart the other way to catch it.

I get the game around November :ugh: .

Then I check the rosters and trade Sam Madison to the broncos and tweak with his ratings. Then, I play ss.

I only play like 1 game a year on the franchise.

BTW- Does anyone know if it will be like previous years---when you trade somebody and you go to a franchise his stats erase? That always aggrivates me. Plus my TV is ****ty so it sucks.

I created Foxworth and they DO say his name. Just like last year when Putzier wasn't in the game initially, I created him and they said his name too! Haven't created Browner yet though, but I will.

That is cheating its a balant PI. They didn't call PI in 05, but if you try that ish in 06 ur getting the yellow flag all day long.

I take it back what I said. This dude I played was the Eagles and did that to me three times, all 60 + yard touchdown throws. He pretty much runs the receiver away from the ball, blocks the defender, and runs to the ball at the last second and caught it each time. It's B.S.!
