A summery in one sentance....."If you have 05 than its not worth the money to buy 06." Its an exact copy, save for superstar mode and roster updates. I am a life long 2K sega fan, but since EA bought the license i had no choice. However i found it to be quite fun . If your a huge madden fan go ahead and buy 06 but its not worth it if you already have last years game.

Well I got 06 and I'm happy with it I love how they made it more realistic with QB vision and precision passing but you can't beat superstar mode.

I agree its not a bad game at all. Its actully alot of fun, i also like the vision addition. I thought superstar mode was all right, i predict we will be making fun of it in about a month though :goofy:. Its really kinda pointless. It was a great idea but badly made. They could have done soooo much more with it. But hey its only the first game with it, it a few years it shoud be great.

Hell yeah brother  lol. Just imagine how good it would be this year. It beat out madden last year and it would have just smashed it this year. Because EA made the exact same game. I think EA got lazy because they knew that no matter how bad the game was this year every one would buy it, cause thats all there is.
But im not giving up hope though, the next gen game shoud hopefully be better on the xbox 360. I mean they will finally have to make better graphics lol.

They have changed alot from 05. They way the players tackle, most of the plays are different. They even created the Broncos famous play, the stretch run. The scoreboard is different, this 06 is a hell of alot better than 05. Plus the graphics are alot better. Sure if you PS2 it might seem the same, but X-box just keeps getting better and better, I can't imagine what X-box360 will look like.

This game is a lot like 2005. The commentary seems like it wasn't even changed, and the in-game graphics are the same. There are a few new tackling and catching animations that look good.
The truck stick is my favorite addition. After you break away from the front 7 and theres one player in your way, the truck stick allows you to plow that fool and go on for the TD. Bell can plow pretty nicely for how fast he is.
Precision passing is awesome. It took me a few hours to get used to but now its easy to use. There are a lot more sacks now because I look downfield for so long I dont look at the line of scrimmage. But it works great because it has money placement. *FYI* Matt Mauck and Kanell royally suck balls, so make sure you don't get Plummer injured.
Superstar mode is fun. I am going to redo mine and be a defensive player, I wasn't having much fun being a WR. I'd rather be a SS or CB.
Franchise mode is legit, as always. I wanted it to be just like this season for the teams around the league (correct rosters), but the Jets weren't able to sign Ty Law so some players are on squds they shouldn't be.
All in all, this game is a lot better than 2005.

Can you turn the cap off on Franchise?

Negative ghost. Which really sucks because I wanted to put Ty Law on the Jets and all the other free agents.
The best way to counter a cap problem is to always the minimum amount of players with crappy backups.

06 has a lot less of an arcadish feel to it than 05. Believe it or not the punt returning has gotten harder. Your blockers will run to about 3 yards from the returner and stand there as defenders run past them, and only block somebody if they run into them. The running it a lot more fun, theres nothing better than when you get in the open field and theres nobody between you and the TD except a DB. The passing is hard but im getting better. Kinda. One game ill throw for 200+ yards and 2 TD's, and the next ill have an overall rating of 2.8 (yes that was my rating from my last game) get sacked 4 times throw 2 picks and only 69 yards. Sometimes defenders will get bursts of speed and jump in front/over your receiver to tip it or pick it off. I was throwing a deep pass to lelie who has 95 speed, and a defender with 88 speed that had been trailing him the whole time cought up with him, jumped up and knocked it away.

I agree with S/S mode being kind of pointless. I spent until 2 AM last night trying to get drafted by the Broncos and couldn't. I think it takes to long to simulate in some areas and for me it just seems kind of useless. I think I would rather make myself in franchise, sign as a free agent as a rookie with the broncos and start a carreer like that.

Yep, like i said before it was a great idea, but it needs improvement. In reality its the exact same thing as franchise mode  , except you can't choose your team, you can get some tattoo's, and a picture of an apartment. If anyone here has played 2k5 they had a "crib" or whatever that was kinda fun, hopefully they incoporate something like that next year.

You know they will... Madden is the best at tacking on ideas of yester-year 2k-games.

I'm waiting to rent '06 before I decide to buy it or not, but my friend told me it was pretty much the exact same game as '05.
