Punt Returns

This is worse than last year! In 06, they dont even bother to touch the guy that is running full speed for you!! Any suggestions? :ugh:

punt returns do suck, but on my first kick off return D. WIlliams took it to the 50 and on his second he took it to the house. He is fast and good on this game.

Yeah...it's still crap. I always have to fair catch the ball. Good job EA...you lazy f**ks!

Basically, there aren't any punt returns. You can just put out any player to fair catch, because there's no way in hell returning the ball will do any good. At best, you get 1 or 2 yards, but usually, you fumble.

Sh*t, what about kickoff returns? 05 was bad enough, most of the time I managed to get it to the 20/25yd line, no more.

Darrent Williams caused my first lost online. It was a tie game, 7-7, with 2 minutes left in the 4th and I stopped the guy. He punts to me, and Williams catches and runs 5 yards and fumbles the damn ball, I lose.

Well in '05, a technique I used to actually get off a punt return is to call a punt block formation, then when they audible to adjust, then I'd audible into a PR Middle formation and that worked. Granted I still only got like 10 yards, but at least he doesn't fumble it.

well,m i find much more success on kickoffs.. i almost broke 2 for a td will darrent williams... and i usually get to the 30 or 40 yard line, but on punts. i get nothing.

you must be bad in 2k5 it was so easy to return specially with rod smith

I only have luck on punt returns when I do PR left or right and I guess correctly. Prettymuch every other time it's covered. I can't say for madden 06 because the PC version isn't out for another week, but based on the Madden track record, it's probably the same thing.

Well I'm getting alot of success on returns.With the new backward juke its alot easier.I will give ya guys a hint.When the comp punts bring one guy back beside your returner he will usually pick up someone and give ya a block to start with.

hmmmm..... i could swear it was hard in that game :beer:.

I do remember returning a few with rod, i must have been when you turn in on legend it gets tough :confused:.

The punt return is retarded as always, that's why I love kick returns but I don't like having to do it (Usually meaning they just scored)

punts are very difficult to return however im having great success on kickoffs.

After i created BVP on my roster, he was set to automatically set to punt return :goofy:

Punts are usually all fair catch :ugh:
