Everytime I play Williams is making big plays everywhere. Anyone else impressed with him or is it me?

It's Madden.

Player Ratings - Intangibles + Speed = Only thing worthwhile.

I've benched players who were rated 90 and above for players in the 70 range simply because the 70-rated folk were faster. That's the realism everybody loves to see in Madden, :coffee:

He does have the speed. That is the thing the I like most about him.

Well my post consisted of my Madden formula, which is basically speed > everything else.

In my first 3 games I played Darrent had an interception returned for a TD, a TD on a kickoff, and a fumble forced. I was expecting him to improve the special teams but he did alot more than that.

never thought of it that way but it seems to hold true. I dont think I get everything out of Smith I should because he doesnt have big time speed.

That is the same kind of production I'm getting out of him

He's all over the field on my franchise, but I made Domonique Foxworth who is about 2 points less overall than Williams, and he makes some huge plays too. The thing that was cool about making Foxworth, was that the announcers actually say his last name, as well as Browner's name!

Darrent Williams is sweet on D at hte nickelback spot, but he's a tad bit short. I've seen sometimes when he was in perfect position to make a play on the ball and go for the swat/pick only to get jumped over for the catch. Speed is an intangiable along with height :P

Speed is actually LESS of a factor in this year's game compared to last year. If you didn't have a RB with 90+ speed, you couldn't run for sh*t. Thankfully, that's not the case this year.
