*pick received in trade with Redskins
Pope was a stretch at the end but the Colts defense looks pretty good right now and Dallas Clark hasn't been looking good so far (and he's on my fantasy team  I would know)
Also I have DeAngelo Williams higher than Reggie Bush but I feel the 49ers will take Bush because Kevin Barlow isnt who they hoped, and Bush can/will give them help at WR and KR/PR.
i dont think we will take two guys out of texas

I know but I was thinking Wright and Gerarrd Warren would be a great combo....and at #30 Huff was the best safety.

It's pretty decent. In my opinion, some players are grossly overrated in your draft (i.e. Wright) and others are grossly underrated (namely Demeco Ryans).
Rodrique Wright is playing his way out of the first round. He's looking an awful lot like Anttaj Hawthorne, though he hopefully doesn't have a thing for marijuana.
I think that if the Broncos pick a free safety, it will be Jason Allen, although his injury has probably knocked him out of the first round. Other possibilities could be Landry and Blue, as I feel you've slightly overrated them.
I'd go into stuff about the other teams' picks, but I don't have the time right now.

Its the best mock draft I have ever done. thanks for the criticism. I plan to make a mock at the end of the year and need all the advice I can get.
also I went with players I've watched throuout the year and I also went by player rankings.

Looks very possible to me. Nice job!

I do not like this mock. There is no way the Browns pass up on Defense in the Draft. They will pick the best defensive player available. Preferably a Nose Tackle or Linebacker.
yeah, the only things i see wrong (in my opinion) is that the lions aren't drafting an o-linemen, and that the steelers are drafting lendale white, the most underrated running back in the ncaa

yes I was thinking that but I had to go with an OL here...the Browns line is weak and they cut their starting LT.
but also I havent got a chance to watch the Browns...so I could be wrong about their line.

the Lions need defensive help. bad. I was surprised last draft when they passed on Derrick Johnson and took ANOTHER WR so I think they will make up for that this year and take a LB.
LenDale White fits the Steelers running style. big, strong, bruising backs. Jerome Bettis and Duece Staley arent getting any younger.

They cut their former starting left tackle. Who is yet to find a team. He is in perfect health and the Texans offered him a million dollar contract and he refused. So how does that hurt the Browns? In his place they signed L.J. Shelton who has done much better than Verba.

again as I said I havent got a chance to see the Browns this year. so yes LJ Shelton could be doing a better job than Verba.
If that is the case then yes I am wrong and you are right. they will take the best defensive player possible.

Speaking of the Browns and the Draft.
I would love for the Browns to have a good season. But I also really, really, really want to see AJ Hawk as a Brown.

Im going to nitpick, deal with it :heh:
-Arizona hasnt given McCown a decent shot since Dennis Green got there. They owe him a full season as their starter to prove himself... This pick has got to be Reggie Bush. JJ Arrington cant get it done. In the SF game, every play he got in was a negative play because he cant block, and because he couldnt pass block, they couldnt run on them..... they need a gamebreaker in Bush to go with McCown and those big play recievers.
-No way in hell Devin Hester goes before Jimmy Williams. No disrespect, its just not going to happen.
-Minnesota doesnt need a RB, unless they plan on dumping 2. They should draft a center IMO. In this position I can see them trading down, but since you dont usually do trades in mocks... I got to let you have this one...
-Baltimore will take Jacobs IMO. And he will be worse than Boller. Bwahahahaha.
-The Lions are going QB as well. There isnt enough time to wait for Jeff Garcia. This pick is Vince Young. No bones about it. Young + those young playmakers = A PROBLEM FOR THE NFC NORTH.
-Mario Williams at #15 is a disrespect. He's not leaving the top 10.
-I see the Eagles going RB. Their NOT going to pay Westbrook what he wants. This pick is going to be LenDale/Maroney, whoever's left at this point. I dont see the Steelers going RB either with Willie Parker playing so well and Maroney is overrated on this draft, and by many others. Dont you get it?!
Minnesota = The Broncos of the NCAA. Any RB will succeed there.
-Chad Jackson should be in this draft in some way shape or form.
-Im not enthused with the Broncos picks, but I wont be on draft day either. :coffee: At least I know they wont be corners.

-I know Dennis Green hasnt given him a shot but why the heck would you pass up Matt Leinert?
-I have Jimmy Williams higher than Hester, but seeing the Packers problem at CB AND WR this year (Hester plays both) plus Hester's returning abilities I think the Packers would choose him over Williams. I however would not.
-Are you serious? they have no running game. none. they need help. and I know OL is a problem but how many centers go in round 1?
-I dont think he will be worse than Boller.....but I like you think he is overrated
-The reason I went defense with the Lions pick is because they always ignore it in the first round (why do you need to draft Wr's in the top ten 3 years in a row?). Vince young will be around in the second round....and they will take him or someone else then.
-Yes but I didnt see a team tht needed a DE until #15
-I did to.....but then I ran out of RB's lol. well who are suppose to go in the first round.
Willie Parker is playing well but he already looks worn out to me....and LenDale White fits their type of running backs perfectly.
I to like you think Maroney is overrated....but that doesnt mean NFL GM's will. I put him where I thought someone dumb enough would draft him.
-I have never seen him play and was unfamiliar with him and didn't know where to put him.
-I wasn't sure with the Rod White pick but Shanny cannot ignore the DL. Rod Wright was the best DL on the board and he and Gerrard Warren playing by side-by-side excited me
IMO Micheal Huff is underrated. He is a very good coverage safety....as he has played corner. and we need a good coverage safety.

Since that pick seems to have been scrutinized, I will say I completely agree with LenDale White going to the Steelers. White is going to be Jerome Bettis volume 2: A huge bruiser with surprising, but still low, speed. If, however, Parker proves he can hold up and be productive all season, then this pick might change. Until then, I see no reason why White and Parker cannot co-exist for 1 or 2 years, or until White starts complaining about playing time.

For anyone that thinks that the Eagles will go WR in Round 1....forget it.
When TO leaves, we'll have Greg Lewis, Todd Pinkston, and Reggie Brown, who has looked VERY promising in camp and in the preseason.
Reid loves to go for the lines first (offensive line and defensive line) so i would think a DE like Tamba Hali from PSU or a G like Max Jean-Gilles or Davin Joseph will be the selection.
Other than that, I like!
oh, one thing, just remember that David Carr can option out this year and become a FA, and if he does, Matt Leinart will enter Quarterback Hell, aka Houston

If the Texans pass up D'Brick hey are the dumbest team in the NFL...the texans need OL help. BAD
