I know that there are many a horror story about how online gambling is illegal and corrupting America's youth... And of course I don't condone any illegal activities or underage gambling....But I know that people like myself are still playing... What is everyone's favorite online gaming site? Any tales of success? Show yourselves Broncomania rounders.

I've played @ Party Poker, Poker Stars, Full Tilt, Pacific, Paradise and Poker room... I think that PokerStars offers the best variety, support and overall product. But I think that the level of play is better there, which can be challenging. I like full tilt because their support is good, and it offers tournaments with fairly small entrant numbers. Poker room is good because they offer the lowest deposit amounts and the level of play seems to be inferior as a result, however the product is also fairly faulty and their support is slow.

Over time I learned that I'm not as good of a cash game player, so I prefer tournaments and Sit n Go's. I've made 5 final tables in the last 2 years, but still no victories, 3rd being my highest showing.

I used to work in Customer Services at Pacific Poker, and this is the official line.

At this time there is no legislation in the US banning online gaming. However, if you are concerned, you should contact your federal legal department for clarification.

The anti-gambling establishment in the US has pressured many banking institutions(including Bank of America) into declining credit card transactions to gaming sites, irrespective of the card holders financial status. They also pressured PayPal into removing their system as a payment option. The most effective payment option is NETeller.

Due to gaming laws in the US, no online gaming sites are based on US soil, and instead tend to be in Carribean islands(Antigua) and Europe(Gibraltar).

You are not obliged to disclose any earnings from gaming sites, but most companies encourage you to be open about any major winnings you may earn.

The anti-gambling reasoning behind these bans is that as gaming sites are not US owned(or on US soil), they are stealing money from the US people and do not pay tax to the US Government. Also, that by frequenting these sites, US citizens are being un-patriotic, because as everyone knows you are only a good american if you spend all your money on US made goods!

There you go! Crazy, but true!
